"Rushed my husband to the ER with violent, bloody vomiting on Monday 11/6/23. They admitted him, then sent him home on Tuesday blaming a positive COVID test for the symptoms, said he could eat and drink anything he could keep down with no dietary restrictions. Vomiting persisted, brought him back to the ER on Wednesday. They misdiagnosed his symptoms again and sent him home. 15 lost pounds later with continual bloody vomiting, took him back to the same ER on Friday. Told them we were not leaving until they permanently stopped the vomiting and gave us a proper diagnosis. They admitted him and FINALLY got him in with a GI specialist who FINALLY did the appropriate testing and discovered a nasty peptic ulcer, rendering the discharge instructions they gave on both previous occasions harmful. My husband was unable to work for several weeks thanks to Baylor, Scott & White misdiagnosing the problem in the first place. We are now responsible for outstanding medical bills for services that would constitute medical malpractice in most states outside of Texas, TRULY adding insult to injury."

"Currently here with my boyfriend. He has been having severe head pain and was here yesterday as well where he was charged so much money to be told to take Motrin. He is never in pain EVER. He does all kinds of things getting hurt all the time and I have never seen him in this much pain. The nurses and dr we have are very dismissive and talk to us like they are trying to make us feel dumb. My boyfriend got really anxious towards the end.. there were no fluids going into his IV and he wanted the needle out because it was hurting him. We pressed the call button and he politely asked for it to be taken out since there were no meds going in nor did he want anymore. The nurse said “did the dr come talk to you” he said “not yet but..” then was cut off and told “that stays in your arm until you leave.” Umm what??? Pretty sure if the patient wants the needle out of their arm you take it out. Especially if there’s no meds going in, it’s not connected to anything, and it’s causing pain and anxiety. He nearly ripped it out of his arm himself because he was forced to have a needle in his arm that was serving absolutely no purpose. If either of us ever get either of those nurses again we will be requesting someone else."

"Medical Care 5 stars ... Cafeteria services. Zero stars. Completely ignored my order. Put it in @ 5:30 pm for dinner 8:15 no food. Call to check. Kitchen closed. Call nurse and ask. Told kitchen closed....sorry....maybe we can find you a sandwich....uh....no...I ordered a full dinner... SMDH...but who cares right....you're stuck. You can have what we give you...if we give it to you.... That's what it feels like... Awesome...we all live being sick and injured in the hospital and STARVING because the cafeteria staff is too incompetent to.do their job right and make sure all orders are filled and patients are fed."

"Herkes, Derek Robert, DO is the most dismissive, conceited, coward of a medical professional that Ive ever come across. I feel sorry for anyone who crosses him professionally or personally. I came in with chest pain and a knot in my neck. Not only did he never listen to my breathing, he had zero physical interaction mixed with the most off-putting bedside manner. I plan on seeing a more competent doctor in the morning and making a complaint of his misdiagnosis and negligence. That man is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Save yourself the hours and go to a better hospital."

"I have had way too much experience with way too many hospitals…so imagine my surprise at finding an excellent facility with caring staff in my own town. The staff (especially Nurses Brandi and Mary Lee) went out of their way to listen to me and everyone included me in care decisions. Experts who explain well listen and care. It’s like a goldmine less than a mile from home!"
