"We used Clayville as our wedding venue on September 9, 2023 and it was the most perfect venue for our day! We had around 100 guests and the space was more than enough for us all. The wonderful volunteers who keep this historic site operating are great to work with and allowed us to have a lot of freedom in decorating and making the space work for us. We had an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour in the beautiful spaces between the buildings on site. We then moved inside of the main barn for the reception which was such a beautiful space that we enjoyed decorating. We were also able to use spaces on venue for getting ready on the day which was awesome. If you are looking for a venue for your wedding that has rustic charm and beautiful spaces this is definitely somewhere to check out."
"This was awesome glad we stumbled across it"
"A beautifully restored and maintained village. Their festivals are amazing with knowledge people in period clothing and artifacts from a time when it was a bustling stagecoach stop. I highly recommend anyone looking for an educational good time stop in. It gets better every year. They also have a new pavilion they rent for weddings and other get togethers."
"This place can easily take you to the era before motors and media. The ingenuity of how everyday living during the pioneer days was not so simple as you may have thought.... The residents there do really bring the trading post/public house to life as they unfold the stories they have endured. And show the talents of many with the craftsmanship towards things that still pertain to today."
"Accompanied first grade class on field trip. Educational experience at appropriate grade level and lots of hands on activities including attending one room school house, making a yarn doll, collecting eggs and dressing up. Class had a blast."
