"Great spot, a beautiful historic building in a wooded setting. We toured today (Friday) with a great guide who is also the maintenance and lawn mower person. This is worth the stop if you're passing through Peoria or camping at the state park. Free admission but leave a donation."
"Could easily be a 5 stars.... Should be 5 star. Great history here. Buildings only open Monday - Friday but we can only come Saturday. Really wanted to see inside the building. Obviously had not been well cared for.. grass had not been mowed in a while...flower gardens desperately needed attention...even a play ground overgrown and some equipment falling apart. These are easy fix areas. On the State Park side, equipment is much better...grass cut ..My interest was in historical, religious part which was obviously neglected. Get your act together!"
"Nice park. We had nice weather so we were able to walk some of the trails. Felt good to be able to get out of the house and walk in the sunshine and nature again. Personally I think everyone should visit if only to enjoy a leisurely stroll."
