"I love my counselor. Best counselor/therapist I have ever had in my life. But the only issue I have here is the person who works behind the front desk. People who struggle with mental health issues know that mental health can’t wait, and somehow, some way I wasn’t rescheduled for last weeks therapy session, so I had to go a week without. Mind you, my appointments automatically are scheduled each week, so how this happened, I don’t know, but last week was a very hard week for me and I was seriously struggling mentally. When I called to make sure I was on the schedule for that day, (didn’t receive text or email alerts reminding me of my appointment so I knew something was wrong) I was in tears when the person working the front desk told me they had messed up somehow and accidentally took me off the schedule. They apologized and everything, and I accepted the apology but my mental health isn’t something I play around with. Especially when I ask for help and have no way to get it, beings how crucial mental health awareness is and how big of an issue mental health is in today’s society. Amazing, great, caring therapists/counselors but front desk staff needs to be more aware and careful about what they do with appointment scheduling. And recently, without my permission or knowledge, over $200 was taken out of my account for costs that have never been discussed with me or brought to my attention. I cannot begin to describe how infuriated I am with the front desk person, and his negligence when it comes to me and my care at Bettendorf Counceling Center. I really hope no one has as many problems as I do with him. This is starting to become ridiculous!!"
