"I’ve been a patient of Dr Ahkter for a couple years now. My husband and I were so happy she was our doctor during my pregnancy. She provided outstanding care. I was high risk and had several health concerns during my pregnancy. Dr Ahkter was always quick to address them. She’s a very conservative doctor and we appreciated the attentive care. I always felt like I was in good hands. If I ever had a question, she would personally call with an answer. My son came earlier than our scheduled c section date. Dr Ahkter came to the hospital right away on her non-surgery day to perform my c section. It was so comforting knowing my doctor would be doing the surgery. Care like that is hard to find these days."

She did my procedure when no other Dr listened to me and found the exact cause of my pain I went her the first time and she knew something was wrong with me and did the perfect job to make it resolve I really wish more Doctor will be like Dr Akhter . East and West Dr Akhter is the best . 10/10 recommendations."

"The doctor was extremely rude and hostile. I did not feel comfortable or welcomed at all at the clinic. It was very unsettling to see how she treated the nurses, who were nothing but kind. Doctor Akhter constantly made rude remarks about my weight, even saying “you’d look better if you gained 20th anyway”, when I expressed concern about side effects of the medication she prescribed, even though I’m at a healthy weight. When I was explaining my symptoms she motioned with her hand for me to stop talking. When I asked about suspicions about my diagnosis she was dismissive and would not answer my questions clearly. There were medications she prescribed me, even though I stated that I was uncomfortable taking such medications she did not want to offer me an alternative. After I visited another Gynecologist he recommended not to take any medication and had a completely different approach. He even laughed at some of the things Dr. Akhter said I should do. I would not recommend Dr. Akhter to anyone."

"This office requires a deposit for OB care with a 90 day return window for any unused money from that deposit. I was seen one time and chose to go elsewhere. There were no co pays or coinsurance required from me after insurance. It took me calling for a month after the 90 days (and being told the check would be at my home the previous month) for me to get the deposit back and even then I drove to pick it up because for a month of it “being mailed to me” it was never mailed. I also received thyroid testing during my initial visit for which I was found to be lacking in hormone to support my pregnancy. When I chose to switch physicians and not come back they told me I’d have to wait for my new physician to weigh in on the tests they gave me the results for showing that I needed hormone replacement. My next physician could not help me until they could physically see me This left me with over a month of no one wanting to be responsible for the tests and exam this office ordered and had done a physical exam for. I called my endocrinologist and he was shocked and helped me stating how unhealthy it was for me to be left without medicine while pregnant when I obviously needed it."
