"Stay away from this trash agent and company. Last year, we bought our first home and got Allstate for our homeowners insurance. By a stroke of bad luck, we had damage from an ice dam within days of closing, followed by a sewer backup a couple of months later. We filed claims for both losses. At no point were we cautioned against making multiple claims. The claims process was extremely slow, the sewer backup repairs took 6 MONTHS to complete. Fast forward to last month, we got a letter from our mortgage lender that we no longer had any homeowners insurance. What??? Allstate had decided to not renew our homeowners' policy due to us filing multiple claims, but never bothered to notify us that we were being dropped! I called Mindy and she said they had sent us a letter in November, but we received no such letter. Nor did we receive any notification via email. I know she has my email, because during all this time she has been emailing us CONSTANTLY to remind us to renew our auto policy (despite the fact that I told her on the phone we would not be renewing the auto since they dropped our homeowners policy). Really wish Allstate would have warned us that making multiple claims could lead to us losing coverage, as finding a replacement coverage has been incredibly difficult. The company Mindy referred us to quoted us MORE THAN DOUBLE what we had been paying before for our homeowners' policy. What a racket. Thankfully, we were able to get coverage from State Farm for similar to what we were paying Allstate. By the way, notifying a customer of nonrenewal is REQUIRED BY LAW."
"I will not recommend Allstate for home insurance they handle my claim really poorly. I had high wind and Hell damage back in June and they did not want to repair my damages . They say the cost of repair was less than my deductible but they requested three estimates that were way higher than their amount. No one wanted to do it for the price that they assumed that it cost to fix. 18 years with Allstate and never made a claim and this is how they treated my claim."
"Service was great. Very pleasant office and staff. Two issues: you no longer give out plastic wallet sized cards. Blue Cross does. They are very handy. My biggest complaint is having to have a User ID and password for every single interaction and transaction. Why can’t you do what Apple does and use a thumb print or face print?"
"Good morning, when All State changed my agent to Ms. Mindy Blanco I felt bad, that I would start over again and every month I would say about the insurance of my house and cars. I did not agree, the new agency requested that I contact her and be able to discuss the new terms and prices of my insurance. I went to the appointment and it was a surprise that Miss Mindy Blanco improved, updated, guided and advised my policies, so I got good discounts on my policies. In the agency, its very friendly, professional, didactic and trained agents of course are directed by Ms. Mindy Blanco. She is charismatic with excellent education because she is bilingual, she was very efficient and effective in recommending her about my policies. My children and relatives are now in their agency, I only have to recommend to all my students and friends the efficient work that the agency gives its clients, with good discounts and most importantly, they correctly explain each point of your policy, which It covers what it is for, which one best suits you etc. according to your needs and possibilities.
