"Betty is a champion of Polo History! She started my journey to finding generations of my ancestors by sharing a book: "Ezra Waterbury and his Descendants". Ezra and the extended Waterbury family travelled to Polo and established the Underground Railroad there. She's written a great booklet about the Underground Railroad in Polo, a history that might have been lost but for her and the Polo Historical Society. Great Place. Much gratitude"
"I reached out to the Polo Historical Society with questions regarding Peek Home orphan records, and they were able to deliver. The society's volunteers were eager to help, they were knowledgable, and they were also good company. Thanks Betty and Linda! If you have trouble establishing contact with the society, I recommend reaching out to Blackhawk Waterways CVB."
"Great history museum"
