"NO Stars.. These people are bullies! My family and I walked through the Galleria Mall in Houston on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, where we discussed my slightly lifted screen at the top working iPhone 11 pro; we saw a phone fix-it booth, so I walked over and asked the man at the booth if the phone could be fixed. The man grabbed my working phone and started to use a tool to pull the screen off; at this time, a was shocked because the man hadn't answered my question and just began to disassemble my phone. I asked him how much, and then he gave me a price that I wasn't comfortable spending, so I said to him, hey, that's too much, and I wish you would have answered my initial question before you disassembled my phone, at this point my screen is completely off the phone, and it isn't working at all. The man then grabbed a price list and said he would fix it for a cheaper price, and then he said it would be 20 minutes. I stood there in shock, and I told him that I wasn't leaving because I have too much business on my phone, the man then started discussing my phone with a customer which led me to believe they were trying to steal my information or my identity. Come to learn the customer says that her iPhone was stolen, and the location was pinned there. She then began demanding that I show her my screensaver, the police were called, and I asked the man to put my screen back on my phone, her couldn't because he ruined it beyond working condition. The man then told me her would fix it and not to worry while dealing with the police issue and customers walking up, the man then walked away with my phone and, when he returned, he didn't have my phone. This worried me and the office then advised the mane to take me to my phone and told him he just can’t walk away with people’s phones without communicating. My phone was at another repair booth Cellaxs, where the manager who told me his name was John, had my phone and seemed to be repairing it. I waited there for another 35mins before John told me we needed to walk to the other booth Smart Fix to get some screws, we walked there, John put the screws in and then told me I owed him money, I then told him the situation and explained that I never asked the man to take my screen off. He called the police and told them that I refused to pay, they came back I explained the situation, they asked John to put my screen back on and he did, then he explained the old screen was ruined and I explained that my phone was in working condition when the worked disassembled it. The officer explained that I could file a civil suit and then John offered to not charge me for the screen. John replaced the screen which went out after I walked away from the counter after John, told me I can’t do this to people, and I was a bad person. I stopped at the other booth where the tech fixed the screen correctly, John came over and started arguing with me and accusing me in being a bad person, when I asked for his managers information, he appeared to not be truthful and told me that his manager's name was Peter, and the office was in California. I am writing this because I spent 2.5 hours in this situation, that could have been avoided if the tech at I Smart fix booth, didn't bully me in having to purchase a new screen, I asked him a question, and he took my screen off without consent and a price agreement. This is an uncivilized act that really needs to stop."
