"*Spoiler: We saved $2,725 by getting another opinion* Do not use this company. If you do - please get a 2nd and 3rd opinion before agreeing with their assessment and paying a fee. ___ Problem: Our pool heater was taking 8+ hours for the hot tub to rise just a few degrees. Our home warranty company (AHS) sent SPA Doc to look at the heater and they told us that it needed to be replaced. The heater replacement cost was $3000 and not covered under warranty. We were skeptical, so we had our pool maintenance company take a look. They called the manufacturer of the heater and replaced a sensor. Parts and Labor - our pool heater was fixed for $275 (92% less than what Spa Doc quoted)! Please do yourself a favor and get a 2nd and 3rd opinion before believing their assessment."
"Robert who is the owner did a wonderful job on my pool. He was very informative and knew exactly how to solve the problem. I highly recommend this company and I give Robert who is the actual owner a full 5 stars for his excellent service, he is very professional and extremely knowledgeable and gets the job done quickly and efficiently. Thank you again Robert !!"
"Spa doc came to our house after placing a service order with AHS. I called AHS first and asked that this provider not be allowed to service our pool because of the review I had read. Unfortunately, I had no choice. He came out so we must pay $75.00. Spa doc claimed our pool circuit board was fried by a power surge. When pressed for more information, he said he based his finding on experience, but failed to offer further explanation when requested. We requested another technician to come out from AHS, who quickly not only diagnosed, but fixed the problem with the pool. It was not a fried circuit board from a power surge that could not be corrected as claimed and was covered. I have no confidence at all in this technician. I reported my experience to AHS."
"Rip off artist. Came to house to inspect heater for AHS. Didn't even open it up. Said it was damaged by squirrels or rats and needed to be replaced and could be replaced by him for $3000. Took the AHS $75 service charge and reported to AHS it was damaged by animals and excluded under warranty. A real pool repair company came out, inspected it. Found no damage from animals but one of the valves was installed upside down. They fixed it for $50 and works great. THIS GUY IS A TOTAL RIP OFF ARTIST FOR AHS! Beware!!!!"
"Our filter and heater were out of commission. Robert came out and took care of everything. Very professional. We will use him again. Very pleased."
