"I brought my MacBook to Atek to have a keyboard replaced. Once I dropped it off, I received a call a few days later, where the tech quoted me about $275 for the replacement, and I gave them the approval to proceed. Over the next several weeks, I was in contact with the tech who told me they ran into complications and needed additional parts. Finally, after a month, they told me the keyboard had been replaced and was ready for pickup. When I arrived to pick up the MacBook, it would boot into recovery mode continuously, something that had not occurred before I dropped it off. Since it had been a month without my computer, I told the tech that I would troubleshoot the booting issues on my own and I was just happy to have my computer back with a new keyboard. They charged me $433 because of additional parts that were needed for the keyboard replacement. When I got the computer home, I discovered that the reason that the computer was continuously booting into recovery mode was because the power button on the keyboard was permanently stuck in the down position. I did attempt to unstick the key, but I was ultimately unsuccessful in getting the keyboard into a working state. Here I am today, almost 2 months after bringing in my MacBook in for repair, $433 out of my pocket, and I am in no better shape than I was before I took my MacBook in to begin with. I emailed them asking for at least a partial refund, but all I was offered was to bring it in for additional troubleshooting and possible keyboard repair. Given the time it took for the repair, the fact that the repair was unsuccessful, and that I was charged over 50% of what I was originally quoted, I am not confident that Atek is able to deliver a successful outcome. For those of you looking to utilize Atek for MacBook repair services, I would advise to look elsewhere."
"This is an Updated Review for Atek Computer Repair. I had this build completed just prior to xmas '21 by a local tech. When I got it back, the wiring was "sewn-in" like Spaghetti; w/ wires dangling everywhere. I give credit for the build; but the wiring was a mess. On 28 Dec. 21; I had the pleasure of having Walter in my office here in Cochise County, Arizona; and w/i 1.5 hours, he completely rewired everything including a 'Piggy-back' power harness, so that everything was neatly tucked out of the way with NO hazard of heating the cables. This is vitally important, because; when I go to add my other equipment into my Custom build, that leaves a vast amount more room for the equipment without worrying about getting tangled up in the wiring. I told you when you were in my office Walter; but I say it again, thank you for all your time & efforts. A job Very Well done.."
"if there were 6 stars possible, I would give them 6. I called them to repair our outdoor network cabling urgently. They responded right away. They are very efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. I would highly recommend them to anybody needing IT support services."
"What a crazy ride this was. Two weeks ago my computer started a BIOS loop which I couldn't break. I called a few places and ATEK was honestly the closest place with the best reviews. I brought the computer over and he worked on it that evening and overnight. The next morning the verdict was in: the motherboard was toast. He had a 230 dollar bill waiting for me when I arrived the next day (un-assembly, reinstalling the OS, assembly, etc.), which he tore up. I gave him 60 bucks for the trouble, which he almost refused to take. This is an honest guy who's expertise is truly in computers. He may not have been able to save my computer from the BIOS loop of megadeath, but he certainly maintained his integrity and honor in his dealing with the situation, which honestly means more to me than anything. Thanks man. Five stars well deserved."
"Took a laptop to Atek that' my wife had sitting because of a new purchase. First let me say I called a few places and their general fees and timing it was gonna take just to look at it was not the best, so I gave Atek a call and he immediately said bring it over. I took it to him Thursday afternoon and he said it would be a few days and he would give me a call. He called me Sunday afternoon and said it was good to go. Not only was that speedy service, but he got my Dell laptop up and running better then before at half the price of competitors. I highly recommend Atek for speedy and satisfying service. I thank you very much sir and if I have any problems with laptops, or a computer in the future I will be returning to Atek without hesitation!! Thanks again 100%"
