"This pharmacy is amazing and completely changes the game for any pharmacy experience you could ever have. Not only do they offer delivery services for your prescriptions (which is my favorite part and the best perk in my opinion), and include a little personal touch in your deliveries and throw in a little candy which always makes my day, but the staff here really go above and beyond for their customers. They're so kind, and when I recently called in a prescription, they called me right away to ask me for my updated insurance. I explained my situation to them, and let them know that I was recently laid off and might not have insurance for a while, and they were completely empathetic to my situation and helped me come up with solutions on how I could get my prescription at a cheaper price. I mean - what other pharmacy truly cares like that?! I will recommend this pharmacy to everyone I know in the Chicago area. Amazing business and staff that truly cares about their customers!"

"Living two blocks away this was a natural choice. Add the excellent service (free deliveries), caring pharmacists and staff and thorough explanation of medicines, I wish I found this hidden gem long ago. This place puts Walgreens, CVS and the other big boxes to shame. It reminds me of a small stand alone pharmacy I used as a child growing up on Long Island. The pharmacists at that long time ago place knew me by name and actually showed an interest in my health - just like New City does now. Isn't that what healthcare should be about? I have interacted so far with pharmacists Elliot and Remy and other staff. They were all very friendly and did not seem like I was inconveniencing them by simply trying to improve my health. Pharmacy schools should shadow New City and train their students accordingly. Hope this practice stays in the neighborhood for many more years! Updated Review December 2023: Wanted to update my review from two years ago. Consistency is one of the most important measures of success and I am pleased to report that is the case with New City Halsted! Over the past three years the level of service is more than consistent and the two main pharmacists, especially Elliott, have gotten to know my medical history and prescription history very well. If I have a question about my medication or interactions with other meds, the staff is very helpful and easy to talk to as well. After three years as a patient here, I could not imagine ever going back to one of the chain store or other retail giants again! I believe if you give this hidden gem a try, you will feel the same way. Keep up the good work New City!"
