"Dr. Godsy's wait times can get a little long but it's because he takes the time to talk to you and actually listens to what you are saying. I feel like he genuinely cares about his patients. I saw a few other psychiatrists before Dr. Godsy and I feel more comfortable with him because he is more personable/friendly. I also like the office staff, they've always been friendly, both in-person and on the phone."
"terrible customer service. they still do over the phone appointment calls, which isn’t an issue, except when they don’t call you at your appointment time and then still actively attempt to charge you for missing an appointment. never had such a frustrating experience as a patient just trying to get medicine. had to get my mom involved because they tried to get me to pay for it despite them calling me an hour early when I was in class."
"I was a loyal patient for YEARS and it pains me to review like this but I can’t be quiet and not warn others. Dr. Godsy himself I don’t have much to complain about. For those of us who’ve been through the mental health machine wringer, he’s a gentle presence, educated about the medicines, and never gets pushy or judgy. That’s why I stayed seeing him for so long even though as some others mentioned, the wait times are ridiculous. Like obscenely ridiculous. On average, my appointments would happen about 2+ hours after the scheduled time. Meaning I had to take a whole afternoon off work. And that was awful but still worth it. But over the past several months, dealing with the office staff has become unbearable. They complete ignore me most of the time. Even when I desperately need a refill (and it’s prescribed, they just have to send it to the pharmacy!), they just don’t care. Most of the time they don’t pick up the phone, and if you leave a message or email or text, there’s no response. On the very rare occasions someone decides I’m worth talking to, they’re often unhelpful, very rude and dismissive. I’ve been so frustrated and quite frankly, hurt by this. I trusted this office after having dealt with a lot of bad places, and I feel like they just don’t care anymore. I’ve called, literally sobbing on a voicemail, begging them to talk to me so I could get the refills I was supposed to have weeks before, and still nothing. I’ve moved on to find a different doctor, though now my trust is so broken I’m having trouble believing anyone will help no matter where I go. I couldn’t take the callous attitude of the staff anymore, it was causing me so much stress - and thanks to them ignoring me, I didn’t have medicine I need to deal with that stress. They’re going to end up doing this to someone who’s not going to be able survive this, if they haven’t already. You’d have to be completely soulless to be working at a psychiatric clinic and not even care that you’re actively making peoples lives worse."
"** UPDATE ** They finally answered the phone. The receptionist said he had to have an appointment (which we've been TRYING to schedule for a month). When I told her that she needed to contact my son (my tone wasn't the best at this point) she immediately hung up on me. We have been seeing Dr Godsy for several years for ADHD. We were satisfied until recently. It has become extremely difficult to contact anyone in the office. The last two weeks, we have called every day. No one has answered the phone, or returned our calls when we left messages. My son has been trying to get an appointment two weeks prior to that. Our son is getting close to running out of medicine. Zero callbacks or response is simply unacceptable for an existing patient."
"Great doctor. Never had any problems with callbacks or waiting a long time in this office But doctor's have emergencies come up. I once had to wait 2 hours for my Gynecologist and 3 for my son's pediatrician. It's life. You aren't their only patient. I just know that a day may come where I or my child has an emergency and I would rather a doctor who gives plenty of time to my need than one who rushes me out the door. The only doctor's in my experience who are easy to get into see and you don't have to wait for are the ones who don't have many patients. And they typically don't have many patients for a reason. Just my two cents."
