"Cannot stress this enough....this guy is dangerous...stay as far away from this practice as you can...."
"Dr. Homsy is an inspiration. He is the best of the best. He is a true humanitarian and a great contributor to our local community in multiple ways known only to a few. He cares deeply for people and his patients. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Homsy. He shows the highest level of professionalism and expertise in his field. Besides that, he is a great person."
"I would not recommend this practice. Does not accept insurance, very hard to reach someone by phone because they hardly ever answer, and it takes 2 days to get a call back. I always had to wait a very long time for my appointments. The only plus was that he was flexible with my schedule, and it was close to my job. Initially he seemed like he had a great demeanor but doesn’t listen half the time, just entering notes in his computer. I’m not even sure what he’s entering, because several times he didn’t even know what meds I was on or tried in the past and I had to remind him. Was put on 17 different drugs in less than a 12 month period. He knows absolutely nothing about how to safely discontinue or taper off of psychotropic drugs. Has no knowledge of SSRI discontinuation syndrome or protracted withdrawal. Still suffering the effects after being out on short term disability for 4 months. Just casually hands out prescriptions like candy, WAY too casual when it comes to drugs that alter the way the brain works. This applies to most psychiatrists though, not just this one. I was having trouble with severe insomnia so he presribes me an antisphychotic. When it wasn’t helping his suggestion was to quadruple the dose. His doctors who cover for him on call give even worse advice. I am so glad I didn’t listen because I would be even worse off than what I am now. If you choose to see him, remember you do not have to be forced to take any medication you do not want to and it is your right to get a second opinion. I made the mistake of trusting him and blindly following his suggestions when I should have participated more in my own care."
"EXTREMELY rude and dismissive on the phone. You are a psychiatry office, have some tact and class. I would never go see this doctor because his staff was so condescending and rude on the phone. So rude, in fact, that they prompted me to write my first review."
""let the doctor do his job" he does not need your help...you need his."
