"UPDATE: I went there again with a few friends last night 10/9/2022 and we were told it was a $20 cover charge for each person, so I was like cool then the lazy guy sitting tried to whisper to the guy that just told us how much we had to pay and I was glued to their lips cause I know how shady and unprofessional they are. He literally told him to charge the guys $40. What a corrupt bunch! We ended up at an old town spot for free and great music, and spent a nice amount on drinks. I’m glad none of our $$ went to them! They need to be educated on business ethics cause this ain’t it at all. Plus it’s funny how even 8 years ago reviews were just as bad for this establishment, but management doesn’t care to fix their reputation. 2021: We tried to get in 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday night and were told we’d have to pay $50 per person to get in for 30 minutes. I was disgusted by their attitude and corrupt behavior. First impressions last long and let’s just say I will never give their establishment a second look, not even to grab a bite! Even TAO, which is way more extravagant doesn’t charge that for a cover charge except celebrities are there. Just distasteful, ugh!"

When people ask me where they can fund a fun place to dance to good music Detention Nightclub is always at the top of my list. Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays. oh yea, and the bartenders are amazing. Just dress Appropriately, there IS a dress code."

"I always get free entry from the text messages I signed up for and sometimes free drinks. It's Jersey Shore mixed with Fraternity row but it's definitely a good place to just forget what happened that week and just do things you will regret the next day. The bouncers are kind of assholes about the no hats policy and will make you leave it on top of the stairs. I was worried somebody was going to jack my hat till I left with it. Also, I think I burned my way to a 200 dollar tab early before I told myself I needed to be cut off. Mixed drinks are expensive here."
