"Walmart pharmacy is better in every way. Friendlier people, better staffed, and never a line. This Walgreens, like the CVS, is understaffed with stressed out workers. Line all the way to the back of the store and nobody to help find things. All I wanted was over the counter motion sickness tablets. Gave up and went to Walmart. Every few years, I make the mistake of stopping in here and am reminded why I switched my prescriptions over years ago & never come here when I can avoid it."
"I called to transfer all my prescriptions to this Walgreens as it is closer to home. I spoke to the pharmacist who said she'd do a profile transfer. Four days later I called & it hadn't been done...& I was in need of some of them. So, the next employee said I can't do a profile transfer, I'd have to do them individually. Ok, so I listed off the prescriptions & less than halfway through she said she can't add anymore. I told her I needed all of them transferred. She said she can't without having to start a new page. I said that seems odd that I can't get all my prescriptions filled. She said I can, but she didn't want to have to do another page. She finally said she would, but was clearly upset & annoyed that I'd make her finish my order. So, I wait. Did not receive a call or text that any prescriptions were ready. Four days later I call back & was told I don't have any prescriptions with them. I then said to just refill the 3 I needed most & had gone without. They said they'd be ready in 2 hours. Once again, no call after 2 days. I called back & went through it all over again & was told 2 hours. This time I finally got the text that they were ready. I go inside to pick them up & was told I'd already picked one of them up. Omg. So, they apparently gave one of my prescriptions to someone else???!!! How is that possible when you have to give them your name, birthday & address??? So, after them talking about what to do they start getting nasty & annoyed with me! Then the one sits on the ground & starts digging through these bins on the floor looking for any of my orders. Extremely unorganized for a professional pharmacy. They bring out one script I'm supposed to take twice a day & they had filled 30 for the month instead of 60. They refused to correct their error & still don't have ready the one they gave to someone else & now have no record of the 3rd script. 2 days later I get a call about the the one they gave away & begrudgingly said it was ready & was treating me like I was trying to get away with something, considering they said it was already picked up. I go get it & it's 30 pills instead of 60 that it was written for. They again refused to correct their error. This is the most unprofessional pharmacy I'd ever been to, to say the very least. They have earned their one star rating from all their customers & I'm adding my one star to it. This place is a train wreck."
"I have used this pharmacy for several years because of its convenient location. I don't get regular prescriptions but every single time I need to pick on up, they don't have my insurance on file. EVERY. FREAKING. TIME. Same insurance for 16 years. The last time I went, they had a very old address attached to my name. Seems like they don't know what they are doing.really hope they aren't giving people the wrong prescription."
"Once again Walgreens fails to call us to let us know that they do not have the medication in stock. My wife asked for them to check any other Walgreens that have it as it's a basic prescription for a child. The lady behind the counter was rude and says she can't do that. They are able to search other Walgreens in the area for the prescription she just chose not to. We will be taking all of our business to Myers pharmacy from now on"
"We have been using this pharmacy for a few years now and haven’t had any issues in the past, but I was really disappointed with our latest experience. We were trying to fill a prescription for our son who has an ear infection. The order the Dr sent the pharmacy could not be fulfilled due to an antibiotic shortage (which I totally understand is not their fault) so we called Dr back and she ordered a different type of antibiotic. When we went to pick that up, they told us we had to pay $150 because our insurance didn’t cover this particular antibiotic. We declined, called the Dr office back to see if they could order a different kind since we didn’t want to pay that much out of pocket, we her pay for insurance after all. Dr sent in an order for a third type of antibiotic, and when we went to go pick it up (several hours after Dr office ordered it) pharmacy stated they never received an order from the Dr. The Dr office was closed at this point, it was 8pm, so we had to wait until the next morning to call and follow up. I called the Dr as soon as they opened the next day, the nurse stated they did in fact submit the order and Walgreens even accepted it, so she called them and they stated our insurance didn’t want us to fill the prescription there. So then I call insurance to find out why we can’t fill prescription at Walgreens, they confirmed Walgreens is in network, but they did not receive any requests about medication from pharmacy. I tried calling Walgreens pharmacy, unable to get through. I decided to go in thinking maybe they don’t have the right insurance info, waited in line, finally got up to the counter and the lady working, her name was Annette was so rude and condescending to me. She would not even let me finish a sentence as to why I was there, she kept cutting me off saying insurance isn’t covering, she asked for my insurance card, and when I gave it to her she said it isn’t the right one because it doesn’t say pharmacy on it. I told her that’s the only one we were sent. She said I would need to call insurance, I told her I already did, and that’s what I was trying to tell her when she kept cutting me off and insurance already told me Walgreens is in network and they haven’t received anything from the pharmacy. I requested pharmacy to please call insurance. (Side note, how can they tell me two types of antibiotics are being denied by insurance if they didn’t ever actually connect with insurance?) I waited with my son in the waiting room while they called insurance, they were able to verify our information and the antibiotics went from being $110 out of pocket to $15. When I checked out with Annette, again she maintained being very rude to me and didn’t even apologize or thank us for waiting. I’m not sure if Walgreens is just trying to squeeze extra money out of people hoping they get so tired of the back and forth and just pay the higher “denied” out of pocket costs. Hopefully this was just a fluke experience, but I truly hope they get better otherwise we we will definitely be choosing a different pharmacy."
