Freedoms Path Hines

"Property poorly managed. I have been here a year and in that time, the elevator has gone down 3 time... One time for three weeks and property management did nothing for the disabled residents in the 2nd and 3rd floors as required by the ADA Act of 1994 and Fair Housing Act. The SC has been down 3 times. The building isn't that old, there is no excuse for this. We have roach and rodent issues and some of the apartments have bedbug issues. Instead of notices about changes, like when rent goes up, we get threatening legal notices. We are in the process of organizing a resident's group to advocate for the the Veterans here since the VA doesn't do much to help us. UPDATE: Why are representatives from Ohio responding to Hines, IL comments. Corinne Baker is the Property manager at the Hines location. Chillecothe representative responding that they don't know who Corinne Baker is, is not helpful at all. Please respond from Hines personnel only. This is pretty indicative of the lack of care employees of Cushman Wakefield have for the residents at the Hines location."

"Been here 2 yrs and it was really nice, now it can use some change and upgrades but that’s anywhere you move to. We definitely need a security guard or concierge in Freedoms Path 2 all day everyday and soon."

"My personal items have been rummaged through, damaged, and stolen. I have spoken to staff about this. My vehicle is marked up and damaged./ - .. i have spoken to va police about this. Noone is doing anything about this. They are constantly trying to provoke me."

"Current staff are doing it good job which is not easy concerning some of the residents. Corrine Baker has exceeded expectations as well as the social workers. Have been helped through a difficult period in my life."

"The first 3 years was great. The atmosphere was welcoming and family oriented. The first property Manager arranged dinners, cookouts, field trips and more. When he was fired and the current property Manager was hired- life changed for the worse at Freedoms Path. Ms. C. Baker has no heart for Vets. The family atmosphere, Gone. She doesn't understand Veterans or comradery. When I was assaulted by a neighbor she said, "I don't care about your assault, all I care about is you paying your rent." She, on another occasion, spoke in 3rd person to me. She said something like how Corrine would never do that or say that. I questioned her, "your name is Corrine, why are you talking like that?" She said, "because it's my name." Then... Once, she lied to me about how she and the cops entered my apartment illegally. Her reason for lying was because she didn't understand what I was asking. There's not enough time to explain everything that makes Freedoms Path unwelcoming and kindless. Not to mention it is infested and I mean INFESTED with BED BUGS AND DUST MITES. An old neighbor of mine, spent 5 days, hospitalized because of BED BUGS!!! I know for a fact that 5 neighbors of mine had to throw out their couch from BED BUG INFESTATION."
