"An absolutle terrible complex. The "management" is highly unprofessional. The only thing they care about is getting their rent in time. I waited weeks to get a call back for a crack in my ceiling, which soaked my carpet when it rained. My refrigerator broke 4 times in the 2 years I was there. They never answer the phone when you call the office; you have to leave an emergency message & they will get back to you when they feel like it. I requested to switch units in February, was told they had one for me & it would be ready by March. Then it was April; then June. By august, I was told they are having an inspection issue with short staffing. The tenants smoke in the building, have loud garage parties, and the parking is terrible. I would not reccomend to anybody."
"I hate to have to say this, but response to repair issues is zero. My over has been non-operational for well over a month and I have contacted management four times without someone coming to check it out. More than likely, they will need to have an outside technician come in as the thermostat is not functioning causing the over to overheat. It gets is hot that it could become a fire hazard. All is good, my oven has been serviced should be fine."
"A family member has been living at Colonial Manor for many years. The management company has increasingly gotten more negligent over the years. In the winter, she and her family have to wear winter coats in the house because the heat is regulated and kept extremely low. The washers and dryers breakdown, and don't get fixed. When her stove stopped working, it took over a month for management to replace it. I would not recommend living there."
"Editing my old review. Lived here for about 4/5 years. The place wasn’t perfect, lack of heat during winter that would sometimes fall under legal limit or be right at it, washer/dryers were starting not to work and would remain useless for months, guest parking was not enforced after hours so sometimes had to park farther away from building, some repairs would take a while to even get done seeing as there is only 1 maintenance man. All in all, I do miss living here. The people were all “mostly” kind although being a slightly below average price range, does invoke some “below average” people to the apartment. It is what it is. Only reason we moved was a farther away job that needed relocation. On top of management at the time getting on us about our pets that we’ve had pretty much during the whole time of our stay there. Colonial Manor went through multiple management positions. Some were kind, some were not. The last one they had, really aided in making our decision to move even easier. We were feeling harassed as well as our most recent of apartment problems were not timely getting addressed accordingly nor done correctly. I definitely would stay here again though under the circumstances that I worked closer. I had a lot of good memories here and the cost of rent, I believe, out ways the problems we dealt with here (besides our ending issues with management and our pet issues)."
"In winter, I have my thermostat set to 90 (the highest). And it tells me it’s at 55 and won’t go up. It’s -13 and getting colder and the heat barely works at all. The property manager is never in the office on scheduled working day’s when you actually need her. She also can be disrespectful with her manorism,s and the way she speaks to people. There is also only 1 maintenance guy that doesn’t have enough time to fix everything or won’t. The units themselves are nice, but I feel like management needs to be adjusted and perhaps slow for 2 more maintenance workers."
