Farmingdale Apartments

"I have been living here for 60 days (Summer Months) and everything has been perfect until our AC went out twice. First time it went out, we had no AC for 3 days and they provided no portable AC unit or anything because it was not above 88 degrees outside (it was a nice 78 degrees outside which made our apartment 78 degrees for those 3 days). Second time it went out (& is still out), it has been 2 weeks with no ac and all we have is a portable unit keeping our bedroom at 73 degrees while the rest of our apartment is at 78 degrees. They are ordering a new unit which is going to take another week to get and I asked management for another portable unit or money off for inconvenience, and she provided no help because it is not above 88 degrees outside which is not warm enough for them to do something. Needless to say, we have been sleepless with sweating throughout the night and having to go to my parents house to sleep at night."

"This place is really not what I expected, I have been living in these apartments for less than a month, when I arrived they gave me the apartment dirty, poorly painted and super deteriorated, I arrived on Saturday August 21 and Monday 23 was my first complaint , the doors of the whole house in poor condition fall down and the front door is very difficult to open and close, I made my second complaint on Tuesday and all that week was pure complaints about the apartment, today September 14 they have not fixed me Nothing, the refrigerator ran out of power and well their excuse is that the building is very old and that I have to understand, which I do not understand since the rent is paid and it is expensive, you have to pay it daily, but to fixes there is never time they always say that the maintenance have a lot of work, the washing machine was full of fungus it was super dirty, I asked to be cleaned but it never happened, I had to clean it myself, the model apartment is very nice but they do not believe everything they see, before saying that if they ask to be shown the apartment first"

"I've been living at Farmingdale for almost six years. I really enjoy that the buildings are solid, quiet, and smoke free. In addition, the grounds and buildings are well maintained and the maintenance and office staff are always a pleasure. When I recently had a family event, the office staff went over the top to help me get a larger apartment and accommodate my additional needs. One added note, since going pet friendly, I've been able to add a new puppy to the family. :-)"

"Farmingdale is a great apartment complex. The balconies are especially nice. I spend as much time as I can on mine. There has never been a noise problem, maintenance seems competent, and the leasing agents and management are very friendly and always willing to help. I have yet to use the gym or pool, but they seem nice enough even if they are a bit on the small side. Parking is never a problem but I managed to get a unit near a large parking area. Some units might not be as lucky. Really, the only downside to this place is that the washer and dryer in the units are TINY. As in, you'll be doing laundry constantly just to keep up. It'd be great if they were bigger (I'd guess about 1/2 - 1/3 the size of a normal washer/dryer) but it's a small price to play for a great place like this. I would definitely recommend checking them out."

"We are very happy here. The apartment is spacious, the neighbors (in our building at least) are quiet and courteous. Maintenance is quick to fix even the smallest issues, and those are rare for us as our unit is in particularly good shape. Management is quick to deal with issues such as smoking in/near the buildings. They are so quick in fact that we end up getting "reminders" about policies without even realizing that the reminders are necessary. If not for purchasing a home we would certainly have renewed our lease."
