"The people who work here are kind and helpful. I had an issue a couple weeks ago and I truly felt that they cared and took care of it within 24 hours. I had to leave this review because my last apartment, I wouldn’t even try to ask the front office because they would never follow through with anything."
"Great place to live. I've looked all over arlington heights and the residences is easily the best in my price range. Buildings are a little older but well taken care of and modernized with new appliances. Maintenance team is a godsent. My one complaint is having to hike out to the main office to pick up my amazon packages, but its a small price to pay in my opinion. Would definitely recommend to friends and family."
"I would go with one star because this was not what i expected. I got home from work on a Sunday night just to find out that my apartment was flooded. I called the office 20 times just to get a response from a maintenance guy with a really bad attitude towards me. I had the insurance the one that they recommended just to find out that that insurance is not gonna cover of any of my damage belongings. And the office management is not taking responsibility either. So disappointing especially when the cause of the flooding wasn’t my fault."
"I am so over this apartment complex. I don’t live there for two months and they still charge me for utilities in their common areas. But this is only one of the problems. They are such frauds. Fees that they charge for every little thing are just outrageous. They returned only a quarter of our deposit because everything else was taken for cleaning a perfectly clean apartment because we didn’t have receipts that we professionally cleaned it. Like what? It was only one of lies that Janet told us. We had a ten minute conversation about the charges that they’ve made from our deposit and she just kept changing her statement. And when we caught her in a lie she would just completely change topic and when we asked to speak to someone else she kept saying she is the only one we can talk to. Closed circle. Also be ready to get charged an environmental fees of $8 a month, if you have questions why they don’t mention them in contract they are saying that it’s new rules and they aren’t in contract but we still have to pay it, like what? Do you know what a contract is? They charged us $270 for stove cleaning. And when I asked for a receipt, Janet said that she will find it, then I insisted on finding now and show me apartment because it was after two days of us moving out I knew that they haven’t cleaned it yet. We were faced with more lies saying that people already moved in. One day after our lease ended you cleaned and moved new tenants in? No way! Then she said she will do her best to reach out to the corporate office, but she literally recommended we go to small claims court and we never heard from her again. But we did hear from Comed who said our account was reopened for that apartment complex (9 days after our lease ended) and we still were still being billed for ongoing utilities! They all are such a nightmare. For real. And these issues are just the beginning. Your packages will be thrown all over office completely trashing it. They will be stolen from time to time. Your laundry will be stolen along with baskets. You will be charged $50 for every lost key. Or every additional key. But also want to mention that employees there are sweet, all except Janet who rules the place and completely disregards everything you say. Pool, don’t even get me started on that, “resort style pool” even though they say they have strict rules there people are drinking and partying in front of small children all the time. I have two little babies and we almost never could use it because of behavior of other people. The “ice skating rink” is open for like 2 weeks and it’s the size of a king size bed. The children’s playground was so old and not taken care of that it just started falling apart so their solution was a hand-written “caution” sign. This place is a joke and they try to strong arm take advantage of their tenants."
"DO NOT BE FOOLED! Choosing this place was a horrible decision. They draw you in with the amenities that you can’t even use most of the time. The pool is beautiful and nice when you are allowed to use it. It’s only open for a few hours a day and that’s if the lifeguard shows up. The bowling alley can only be used on the weekend until the office closes. (Fri-7pm, Sat-4pm, Sun-closed). The gym is the only thing you can use 24/7 for those of us that work this doesn’t really give us much time to enjoy these things we pay for. They also don’t tell you that they accept section 8 I’m not saying everyone that needs assistance is ghetto or scumbags but from what I’ve seen in this place they ARE. For someone that works hard and wants to live in a nice community this is not it. Drug addicts, drug dealers, the cops are here practically everyday. We have homeless people doing drugs hiding behind the dumpster. The rats are out of control just last night I was walking my dogs and I could hear rats squealing and banging around under the hood or someone’s car. I’ve almost stepped on two dead rats lying around and it takes days for them to get someone to remove them. Do your research, this place was on the news for bed bug infestation that they weren’t doing anything about until the residents got the media involved. The most recent story this place made it on the news for was a women that set her apartment on fire and displaced all of her neighbors and destroyed there homes and belongings thank god for the fire departments quick response because it would have been so many others, she was arrested for arson! This happen just one building away from mine. I know a few people that have actually paid the money just to break there leases to get out of here. I work way to hard for the life I have and to have to live like this... I wish I did better research before signing the 50 page lease they send you. Oh and don’t forget the fees fees fees they charge you for everything! Read the very long and excessive lease word for word. If I can save someone else from making the mistake I made taking the time to write this was worth it. If the government pays your rent this is probably luxury for you but it’s truly not luxury if you can afford it then do not spend your money here hoping for a nice life you will not find it here!!!"
