"Horrible office staff who lie about everything literally. And all I can say is BED BUGS!!! Don't be fooled, they have them and they will blame it on you even though all the other tenants have them and guess what...They were also told it was their fault. My ceiling fell in and I told the office. After two weeks nothing was fixed and when I told her I shouldn't have to pay rent if I cant live in it the manager said "Well if you actually read your lease, it says for you to call the MAIN office" Oh silly me, I thought you were in the main office. People get stuck there and can't leave for monetary reasons and they have to live in slums.. I left after 5 months and they charged me 1800, which is still on my credit. - AFTER BED BUGS AND CEILING CAVE IN!!!! I lost a TV, couch and a beautiful armoire from both issues. Messed up this pace is still in business. I happen to like my home area, shame on this company for coming in and taking advantage if the citizens. It is places like this that cause people to not want to move into Zion. Have some respect for people's home town Not ok."
"Good location. All in all, for apartment living this is as good as you will find for the money in northern Lake County. Our neighbors, black, white, hispanic, etc. (and our pets!) get along well. The buildings feel kind of old but are in fair shape and since we moved in in the first quarter of 2018 we haven't seen any crime in the neighborhood. What you need to know up front is that in addition to rent, you will be paying for everyone's heat and water. A third-party company divvies up the water, sewer, trash and gas cost and then bills you for your portion based on number of bedrooms. Considering the buildings' layout it seems fair enough. On that note our thermostat seems basically useless most of the time; ours was literally all the way off except for the coldest weeks last year and a lot of days we had to keep the windows open because it was so hot in our apartment we were going crazy. Maintenance tries to keep up but we get the impression they're stretched kind of thin. Security doors are routinely out of alignment and don't close properly, and one of the exterior lights has not worked in the year we have been here. Non-emergent maintenance requests may sit for months - yes, months - with zero attention unless you call repeatedly or show up in person at the office. Snow removal was poor on sidewalks and around doors, though the parking lot was fairly well taken of this past winter. The office staff is polite and easy to talk to, though, in spite of the issues - there will be issues anywhere, of course...Country Chalet is a fairly decent place."
"The worst place to live they are good charging and collecting the money. I called I reported several times that my tub have problems and is nasty the paint is coming out the plumbing need to be change and every month they say they are going to come and nothing a lot of excuses. At the top of that the laundry is nasty the washer are broken doesn't rinse you waste the money you have to put the loads several times and you end taking the clothes out and finish manually the dryer don't work neither the halls smell worst that a getto motel. The carpet looks nasty. The even request that you keep your apartment clean but the carpet in the halls outside the apartment stink. In addition they put a rule for the parking and they towed everyone no matter what. The office supposedly open at 9 but they are not there. Anyway the complex is not good to live do you a favor and don't even come near nice pictures no service no maintenance nothing good"
"This place is the worst place to live I would highly suggest do not move in here and if you do live here it's definitely worth breaking the lease I have been here not even a full year there are four washers and only one works they are well aware of the situation one of them is full of water and reeks of mold and mildew it stinks really bad also my mailbox has been broken for almost a full year they claim they fixed it when all they did was hammer it so that it fits in there properly most importantly good luck with the management occasionally I will get packages delivered and they go straight to the office they will not let you know if you have a package sitting there maricela says it's not her responsible to let her tenants know that there are packages waiting for her this is the only place I've ever lived that does that she said that they sit there for more than a week she will send them back that is wrong she said usually her tenants call to verify if their package is there my concern is if I got a gift in the mail that I had no idea was coming what I ever known basically know you will never know it will get sent back so don't expect package to get to you you have to be psychic basically"
