"DO NOT TRUST THIS VENUE WITH YOUR MONEY! Our wedding was booked at this venue in 2020. The hotel canceled our event due to facility issues and we have never received our deposits of $7,000+ back. I have been trying to get this back for years. I have written confirmation from the hotel manager and event coordinator that we would be getting our money back, that the check was in the mail, and then silence. DO NOT TRUST THIS VENUE WITH YOUR MONEY!"
"Service, location and staff were all amazing! The suite was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom came with both a rainforest shower and jacuzzi tub. The views of Lake Michigan were phenomenal! Explore Illinois Beach State Park and hike the Dead River trail. So peaceful and relaxing."
"The beauty of the lake and park is what draws people to this place. It's not the fanciest hotel but the service is terrific. Renita at the front desk was amazing and accommodating when we messed up our reservation to attend a wedding at the hotel. Everyone from the housekeeping staff to the bartenders went out of their way to be helpful and friendly throughout the event. The beauty of the location and the people make this a great destination."
"Highly recommended. Beautiful view and rooms were cleaner than all the other hotels I've been to in the last year. I Only complaint was the little one cup coffee maker in the room didn't work as quickly as I'd like. 5 min plus for one 8oz cup. Good coffee though"
"The staff are very helpful and kind. You can tell that they are trying to make the hotel a nice place, but it needs to be renovated. The hotel is in disrepair. It is on the lake, so the view is nice. The showers and beds are nice. The window was leaking making the carpet wet. The wallpaper is falling off in the bathroom. Overall, it was good to stay while your family is camping in the park."
