"Scammers do not buy pet insurance from these scammers they make u pay then never have an appointment available for your pet. Do not go here the vets suck as well try to make me pay bunch of money because I was worried over dog turns out she was reverse sneezing ....SCAMMERS"
"Brought my pet for vaccination, booked an appointment for that - it toke 50 min waiting to discover that I could not stay with her during the vet appointment/vaccines. Even more surprisingly, the doctor didn’t talk to me at all. It felt so so strange to have my dog far from me during ~ 30 min and hear nothing from the doc. Only things I got: the bill (for sure), a paper report with wrong description of her color and a message from the woman at front that she has tartar and is above weight so I should feed her less. I’m really not used to this type of treatment when taking care of my dog. I will not come back and I’m Looking already to other clinics recommended by local people who also found it very odd the way it worked out there."
"Went here to get my dogs ears shaved down because an associate at a groomer told met about my dog setting up hematoma if they did it. Banfield saved me a ton of money when they informed me that the associate I spoke with was possibly someone without proper training/experience, because my dog in no way needed a vet. Needless to say, my god is groomed and BEEEEEEYOUTEEEEEFULL. Thanks Banfield for saving my pockets lives LOL."
"Update- I can’t get my plan canceled. Have been trying for months. I’ve been a Banfield member for 13+ years and have recommended all my friends to become wellness plan members too since a hospital in NE helped my new puppy after he was cut in a grooming accident. The staff saw us in the parking lot on a Friday night and went back in to help him. That is the type of care I have come to expect, doing what’s best for pets. Unfortunately this has not been the case since moving to Texas, and this location especially. While the lead tech is super nice Dr. Gammage and another tech create nothing but issues due to incompetence and a lack of general care. Other vets I’ve seen here have also been good. The problem is Dr Gammage is the only one with availability ever. She never “feels certain” and refers you to specialists on basic things, she re-opened my dogs wound post-surgery because she didn’t know how to handle the surgeon stitch, and most recently refused to see my other dog for both comprehensive exam and when she was vomiting (despite availability). She does not care about pets. I will be exploring options and may have to drop being a wellness plan member if we can’t get care in Texas. It’s unfortunate because I travel with my dogs regularly and like that there are Banfield a around the country that could have easy access to records. It’s a shame one bad vet has to ruin a decade of loyalty. It will also be an issue for PetSmart and if we move services we won’t go out of our way to board and groom there either."
"Really negative experience here. Jules and Renee at the front desk were great so they earned the extra star. No opinion on Dr. Mallory because I didn’t interact with her but the practice manager was brutal. I was told originally it would be about 2-3 hours for my pet’s drop off appointment. Five hours later my wife called and was told the doctor had gone to lunch, but my dog would be ready in about an hour. Showed up, and was being checked out when the manager told the front desk person to not check me out yet because my pet wasn’t ready. I said it has been six hours, how much longer is it going to be? I wasn’t given an updated time frame, instead I was told that if I wanted a quick appointment I should’ve booked in the afternoon because they have surgeries in the morning. I told them I didn’t ask for a quick appointment but six hours is plenty of time to do literally anything that needed to be done for an annual exam. They said that they were the practice manager and this was their protocol and drop off appointments can take longer. My dog has been with banfield for 5 years now, but we won’t be returning."
