"Amazing place staffed with truly caring doctors and assistants. My Bichon was attacked at a local doggie daycare and sustained 3 fractured ribs Bruising, and four bite wounds. He spent two days there with me by his side the whole time. Everyone was so attentive and caring. I knew my dog was at the right place. After his release i has a couple questions and called and a doctor immediately took my call and answered my concerns."
"This is hands down the best vet my fiancé or I have ever been to. We had an emergency with our 14 year old dog who stopped being able to walk. We took her in the morning and Dr. Zawada and Michelle immediately welcomed her with friendly and professional care. Our dog really felt comfortable in their hands, and they got her the right medicine and treatment she needs. Within a few hours she’s already up and walking significantly better than she was in the morning. I highly recommend taking your loved pets to them."
"I could not be happier with how we were treated at the Katy location when we had to make a visit for my cat. They were incredibly compassionate and kind! Veterinary care is expensive, but they will work with your budget to help your pet. Our guy had a terrible urinary blockage and I called several other places for help, but this was the only one where the vet got on the phone with me and encouraged me to bring him in and we could work out the money part. They were all truly concerned about just making him better and giving him a fighting chance. I’m happy to say that he is now on the mend and using his litter box as normal again! I really cannot thank y’all enough for literally saving his life! I hope that you never need emergency vet care, but if you do, you can absolutely trust this team to help!"
"We're extremely grateful to the entire team at VEG Katy, who assisted our dog, Cole, when he unexpectedly became gravely ill last month. Coley was losing a lot of blood and fluids, could barely stand or stay conscious, and was rapidly deteriorating for no apparent reason. We thought we were going to lose him, which would have been awful, especially right before Christmas. Fortunately, after a grueling 30+ hours, Cole was stable and in decent enough condition to head home, and has since been nursed back to health. All of the vets, nurses, and staff at VEG seemed to genuinely care about Cole's outcome, and they were very supportive of me and my husband during this situation as well. We really appreciated the open concept setup at this facility. Cole was allowed to stay out of a kennel and rest on blankets near us for the duration of his visit. The staff also provided chairs and pallets for us beside him. I think this helped keep all of us more at ease and reduce stress during a very stressful time. We were offered drinks and snacks, and made to feel as comfortable as possible over the course of two days. Meanwhile, the team kept trying to figure out what was going on with our pup and made continued efforts to save him even when it was starting to seem futile. But, ultimately, it all worked out and we'll always be grateful. (If curious, it seems as though Coley went into anaphylaxis due to an allergy/immune issue. Things started trending for the better after injectable antihistamines and steroids.)"
"A Heartfelt Ode to Veterinary Emergency Group: Where Compassion Meets Excellence On the evening of December 19, 2023, my beloved 12-year-old Shihpoo, Spark, faced a critical health crisis. Following a blood transfusion that led to TRALI disease, we found ourselves in dire need of immediate veterinary care. It was then that we turned to the Veterinary Emergency Group, a decision that I will forever regard as a lifesaving one. From the moment we rushed through their doors, the sense of urgency and compassion was palpable. The medical team, led by the extraordinary Dr. Harris and Dr. Freeman, sprang into action with a proficiency and kindness that was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Their down-to-earth demeanor, coupled with an unwavering dedication to their profession, was a beacon of hope in our hour of need. Dr. Garnier, Dr. Romero, and Dr. Sekar were instrumental in treating Spark, showcasing a level of expertise and care that went above and beyond. Their crucial involvement in his recovery process deserves immense gratitude. The Vet Technicians - Jocelyn,Stephanie, Bethany, Nick, Aja, and Abbie - were more than just professionals doing their job; they were compassionate guardians of Spark's comfort and well-being. Their empathy shone through in every action, every decision, making an incredibly stressful situation just a bit more bearable. For four nights, as my daughter and I stayed vigil by Spark's side, the staff provided us with sleeping arrangements, accommodating our needs and anxieties with patience and understanding. They not only tolerated my endless questions but welcomed them, ensuring I was a part of every step in Spark's care. Their policy of an open concept treatment area, allowing us to be with Spark throughout, was a source of immense comfort. In this trying time, every member of the Veterinary Emergency Group demonstrated an extraordinary blend of professionalism, empathy, and kindness. Their dedication to both their furry patients and their human companions is exemplary. To the Veterinary Emergency Group, I extend my deepest gratitude. You did not just treat my furry boy Spark; you touched our hearts and gave us hope. Your exceptional care and kindness will forever be remembered and appreciated."
