"If I could give 0 stars I would..My kids pediatrician retired and sent all info over to this Dr office and I have been calling for months trying to speak with someone..finally did and was put on hold for an hours. Now they will not pick up"
"Dr Powell has been my children doctors since my 39 year old son was born. She was in the delivery room for all 3, their ages are 39, 25, and 15. My son loved her until she needed to check his body. So I found a black man doctor. My oldest daughter tried to stay an extra year, so Dr Powell did her last physical and talked with her, about being an young y, what to ask and expect with her next doctor, that talk helped my daughter. Now my youngest thinks the world of Dr Powel, she wants to know what her doctor thinks . We Pray for her, and my daughter told me I hope she's my doctor until I'm grown. lNow her staff and the wait time is something different."
"My rate is for the front staff, bc how unprofessional he is (plays a big role to the clinic) Dr.Janice Powell is a good doctor, but the front office staff always tried to be funny/rude when I would be in concern with my son. He would ask has my son been exposed to covid I said no and he laughs and says “how would you know?” I told him we took a rapid test before coming and I can’t ever schedule ? I call and it goes to another office there . They open at “9” but don’t take calls till 10:30? I call and it’s another office saying to call back at 2:30? Once I called at that time I asked what is going on? And the lady didn’t even know and just told me it’s better to look to urgent care. With experience I had before I always had the appointment schedule for urgent care. I got told that some things need to be talked to the pediatrician when they never pick up the phone . The time I had an appointment scheduled was the first check up and the rest been showing up bc they never answer the phone ? One of the appointments I went whenever they opened and Dr said they will give me an ENT referral bc my son had something blue inside his ear and a school letter . I waited long enough to for them just to go on break and I was more than an hour break? I went to the emergency room because I was worried . In the end of the night I get a call back that they sent the letter and will send the ENT referral in a couple minutes . The ER took the subject out and in the end of the night I just got the school letter . The staff plays a big role and it’s very concerning what’s going on in there ."
"Dr. Powells Husband is a looney & needs to stay out of her practice. I came in with a medical emergency with my child. Instead of even attempting to be of any help he advised me that this was “not the day to do pop ups & they are trying to get out of town”. Unfortunately I couldn’t schedule when my child would have an emergency & I guess it was silly of my to expect the only pediatrician office that she’s ever gone too to help. He is rude, unprofessional & a wack job. I love Dr. Janice Powells, but her husband really holds their business back. I will be taking my business elsewhere."
"My rate is based on the man at the front window when you sign in. I wasn’t aware that a mask was needed because the mandate was lifted. However the receptionist told me I would need one or a can purchase one for 2.50. At first I laughed because I thought he was joking. Then when one of the nurses in the back that he was definitely serious and that he’s the only one that does that!! I had 4 kids with me and had no money on me. On top of that I ubered to the clinic. He suggested that I reschedule or get 2.50!! Why do that to ppl?? And meanwhile he’s sitting over there with his mask under his chin!! What a good example"
