"I took my son to Cook’s urgent care @ Walsh ranch late on a Sunday night, because I suspected another ear infection. He’s had recurring ones for about a year now, and we’ve been counting down the days until he can get tubes. We’ve been to this urgent care multiple times, and the experiences have been hit and miss. The time before, we had a horrible experience with another woman doctor, and it really upset both me and my son by how we were brushed off and made to feel bad. This was NOT the case with Dr. Sloan. I’ve spent the day just reflecting about our experience, and it has put me at so much ease. He was so kind, so patient, and really cared about what I had to say, as a parent. He played with my son and did his best to make sure he was comfortable while evaluating him. He talked to me like a friend and never once made me feel belittled or unsure. He made sure I felt properly educated, regardless of this being a recurring thing and me knowing the drill, at this point. His nurse (I forget her name) was also a rockstar. She was a saint and so, so sweet to my boy. I’ve taken note of Dr. Sloan and will be switching to him for pediatric in the case that our current MD stops taking my son’s insurance. There are some negative reviews on here for Dr. Sloan, which honestly surprised me. To each their own, I suppose, but I have nothing but great things to say. This man was a joy to be seen by, and his bedside manner and gentle nature toward my son was unmatched. Reader, please remember that not every bad review defines someone’s character. Doctors have a protocol they have to follow for every child and every case. Dr. Sloan is courteous and caring. I highly recommend him, and I hope that if we ever have to return to urgent care again, that we are graced by his presence. Thank you, Dr. Sloan! We are so appreciative."

"Horrible pediatric ER doctor. My child was brought in for flu like symptoms. Swabbed in the ED and tested positive for flu. Although my child had been sick only a short period this doctor persistently refused to give the child tamiflu stating side effects of vomiting and diarrhea and "shortage of tamiflu" and child does not "Fit the criteria to receive tamiflu" and that "tamiflu did not treat the flu, but prevented one from passing it to others". Seriously?? Just horrible. Child felt worse while leaving hospital.. I took child to another doctor and thankfully child was prescribed tamiflu, nausea/vomiting meds, and pain meds as was needed. Shame on that ER doctor for making a sick child have to go elsewhere for proper treatment."

"Worst Er Dr ever came in to get my child checked he denied certain things i expressed I was concerned with 2 days later back to Er and we get admitted for what I had originally voiced my concern about. How bad is that shame on him some doctors want to ignore parents when parents voice concerns and wories."
