"First and foremost the nurse was not polite and had an attitude, which fine she still did her job. Secondly dr.cannell was very unprofessional and dismissive. I was attempting to obtain info, and instead of answering my questions I was mocked and told “let’s not go on tangents” and “that’s just a trend.” I was merely trying to get my questions answered and I was not demanding unnecessary medical treatment. Every question he did answer took him to go into the computer and look into the file as he had no knowledge of medical history. (This was not patients first visit). The worst part was when we were ready to be done with him and leave, he himself went on a tangent for over 5 minutes about why men don’t have long hair! It was the most pointless doctor visit I’ve ever been to and most incompetent medical treatment I've ever received. DO NOT GO HERE! (Picture is proof of visit)"

"I really like this doctor but the nurse I spoke to today used a very harsh tone with me for no reason when I was trying to schedule an appointment with my daughter,I'd probably like this Dr more if he wasn't at cgh I hate cgh in general. KSB in dixon is where we will be going from now on."

"Dr. Cannell has been my children doctor for over the past 25 years. He always answers my questions and makes sure I have the knowledge I need before leaving the office. He is friendly to my children which is very important to me. We are always greeted with a smile."

"I spoke to Dr Cannell about having my child assessed for Autism. He told me that "Autism is just social retardation" and "it's just certain traits that can be fixed." He told me I didn't need to "focus on labels" and to just get her into some OT to "fix the problem traits." I was stunned and couldn't believe an actual medical doctor is purporting these outdated and harmful ideas. If he doesn't know what he's talking about (and clearly he doesn't) then he should refer questions like this to someone who does."
