"Understaffed. Good luck getting a hold of anybody over there. You'll either wait on hold for the rest of your days or you will be sent to voicemail and never receive a callback. You might be able to reach someone after trying for a couple of days."
"The people are friendly whenever I speak with someone there- but easily over half the times I’ve called the line just rings busy. Then when it does connect over I usually end up leaving a voicemail. Some of my voicemails were NOT returned though which is awful considering how hard it is to get a hold of someone there who also knows what they’re doing… again they’re very nice when I do speak with someone but I am dismayed by how poor the communication is. In prior calls I was also given bad information for two of my calls. I haven’t used this company before as I don’t generally like working with hospitals for this reason and for financial reasons. This experience though is chasing me away- but I’m having troubles even getting a primary doctor set up in this area as I’m new to town. I might have to finish my issue with the company for convenience reasons, but I will certainly not come back for any new issues."
"I am in my mid-twenties and Dr. Harrison has been my primary care provider since birth. I've decided to search for a new provider for the following reasons: 1. Contact is nearly impossible. On multiple occasions, I've had to call multiple times, at various times of the day, over a two-three day period before reaching someone. This also applies when making payments as their online portal is usually unavailable. The receptionists are generally rude and unhelpful. 2. The nurses are extremely rude, condescending, and unprofessional. I recently spoke with a nurse over the phone to make an appointment and said I would be available anytime before 1pm, to which she responded "where are you going at one?" Absolutely inappropriate and irrelevant. 3. In my experience, Dr. Harrison does not listen to patients - he interrupts quickly and often, usually not allowing even partial explanations or concerns to be voiced. He also tends to end the visit with no warning, literally walking out the door mid-conversation (which consists of mostly his words), after 5 minutes of speaking. This has been enough of an issue that I have had to ask him to come back into the room on multiple occasions. I would also encourage others to do their own research and advocate for themselves in terms of medication. Years ago, I explained to Dr. Harrison that multiple family members of mine have experienced quite serious side effects of one medication and requested it be added to my list of allergens, which he said he did. Since then, he has suggested this medication to me three times. The most recent time he used the generic name of the medication and I basically had to say "isn't that just the generic version of X medication?" Dr. Harrison seems like a generally nice person, but based on my experience I would highly suggest considering other providers."
"Receptionists were extremely helpful and nice over the phone, I have difficulty talking to people but they made it pretty easy. Dr. Harrison is a great doctor, he's been my primary physician for around a decade now."
"Dr. Harrison has been my personal physician all my life and is a great Dr. The company he works for however, MercyOne, has deteriorated so badly in the last few years that I am switching my family's health care to a different provider. I highly recommend avoiding this facility because of their association with MercyOne."
