"What a beautiful gem on the heart of the chain of lakes! I was out this way just a couple years ago, and the remodel of this building is Incredible. It’s even better that you have a great brewery just a few steps from your room, they offer great beers, seltzers, and some great food menu options as well. Customer service was very attentive with any questions I had as well. It’s nice to see the change of hospitality in this area. We will definitely be back!"

"Excellent location with clean, comfortable, and affordable rooms. The staff is attentive and so amazing to work with. The lake views are incredible, and if you like nightlife, the outstanding Black Lung Bewery is on the property."

"Proper check in instructions were not given and it took us a long time to find our room (which was through an unmarked door in a bar that a patron had to inform us of). We didn’t have the code to get into the hotel, only the room itself, and another guest happened to come by and let us in. The room was not as advertised, it looks like the pictures we saw on air bnb were edited. The biggest problem was that the entire building and ESPECIALLY in our room reeked of human urine. Like a subway station stairwell. The vent in the room was like a microphone from the karaoke bar below. I’m from fox lake, I was not expecting a nice place, but this was ungodly. My partner has asthma and started having a hard time breathing because of the stench. We fled. Owners were not understanding. Even if we don’t get a refund I’d rather eat the $200 and sleep in my car than experience another minute in that hell hole."

"Beautiful little hideaway! The area has nice people, and I highly recommend. However, the brewery was closed during our visit, which was unexpected. But the rustic and peaceful atmosphere, along with fun activities like boats and paddle boats, made up for it. Perfect for vacation! Definitely considering another stay!"

"We stayed here for our anniversary weekend and while everything was decent, it is not nearly as nice as advertised. When we walked in, the desk chair was upside down on the bed and an extension cord was wrapped around and draped over the bed/headboard. We were also missing an entire curtain for one of the windows, therefore having to use the closet curtain and put to rod up ourselves. The noise for the room with a lake view was LOUD until midnight due to live music in the brewery and the room being located directly above. Overall, the room was cleaned well and so was the shared bathroom. It’s not necessarily something I’d recommend for the price or otherwise unless you just need a spot to crash for the night. The bed was comfortable and the location is nice for good food and drinks."
