"I’m local - since 4 years old have stayed and encouraged others - after the recent artic blast and a furnace emergency my parents needed a warm room - I reserved 3 nights The “owner” spotted *my* service dog in the car and locked them out - she wasn’t staying - no call and the woman working was highly rude I’ve overlooked the cleaning and how gross it is before but this was nasty and I’ve reported to all the authorities keep going up 55 country Inn i. Livingston communicates & similar"
"Will never stay here again! A friend had an emergency because of deadly weather conditions. She has disabled parents, one being a disabled veteran. They booked the room, money was taken. The place allows dogs, and there was a dog in the car, but it wasn’t staying with them. They were then denied a place and then lied to that there wasn’t room. It’s not a clean or nice place and should be investigated for many things including this discrimination! Absolutely horrid people! And there is a reason it’s so cheap, you are actually overpaying!"
"The staff is very friendly and nice the place is older but kept up very well can't beat it right by the interstate to get into St Louis or wherever you want to go"
"No hot water. Hassle from clerk. Do not recommend. We showed up at 7 pm after having made a reservation a month in advance for this place for our trip from Milwaukee to Branson when Clerk says she canceled our reservation because they had no hot water. Clerk says she tried letting us know. We looked and saw the motel left a message 40 minutes before we showed up. I asked why didn’t they let us know sooner, she said it just happened. A resident walking by who said he’d been living at the motel said the hot water had been out for a week. In addition, she wouldn’t let us into the room unless we paid her saying she had canceled our online reservation. We didn’t want to pay twice and asked to be let in the room while we figured it out with the online booking platform. We hadn’t cancelled our reservation but clerk kept saying she canceled because no hot water but that we could stay if we wanted if we paid her but we hadn’t gotten a confirmation or email from the online platform saying our reservation was canceled. We were exhausted and just wanted a room, even willing to stay with no discount AND no hot water. But clerk said she wouldn’t let us into the room unless we paid (again?) Between the apparent lie about how long the hot water had been out and not working with us as we were exhausted. We left and went to Days Inn in Colinsville for $80, instead of the $50 for this place. We’ll dispute any charge if we get one from the online booking platform."
