"I would absolutely not stay here again. The entire campground is in terrible condition and there's trash all over the place. The sites aren't clearly marked. There's no wifi. The 2 single residential style bathrooms for the entire campground were not cleaned enough and were filthy. The water at this campground is the rustiest water I've ever seen in my life. It's undrinkable and unusable. I showered in it in the bathrooms there and afterward my skin was itchy and irritated. The entire shower stall is stained red from the rusty water. There's also significant amounts of mold in the bathrooms. The owner was a nice guy, but I don't have anything positive to say about the campground itself. The owner's prices when you show up are higher than the rates that were listed on the website."
"When I called to make a reservation Don just grabbed my first and last name when I told him when I'd be coming and what I needed for a site. He told me to call him the day of and he'd remember. I called him from about half hour out and when I got there I got a basic site. He seems to lead individuals to their spot personally. I have not had any issue getting a hold of Don anytime I have tried calling. Others have stated they may have had issue. It was inexpensive. It's nice, quiet, and clean. There is not much infrastructure there as it is right off the Illinois river and I have read that it floods. I had checked the river tables and it was at 12' and it seems to be an issue at 18' so there wasn't a problem. It is basic, no camp store etc. Bring what you need. We brought our own water as we typically don't trust campground water. People have stated the water is bad. I cannot attest to this aspect. The restrooms up front could be marked but I thought it was evident. Dumpster could be marked. Since I mentioned there's not much infrastructure there is no entertainment for the kids. Oh no! They'll have to be in nature! Quiet enough to hear the birds etc. I've read of people complaining there's no wifi. Oh no it's the end of the world! I had no problem with service but big deal if I did. I was only coming to visit the kid for parents weekend at Bradley so I set up an M1951 Arctic tent with two cots and sleeping bags. I did not tow the camper but there are nice sites for the RV's as well. Nicely shaded but open sites. I did clean up some broken glass and bottle caps from previous campers. Why can't people be respectful? I don't know if Don had gotten to the site. My kid and I hung out by the campfire and made burgers etc. Did I mention its quiet? It's nice. The people who passed by our corner waved and said pleasantries. I spoke to our neighbors. It wasn't crowded the weekend I went. The bathrooms are upfront by the office so if you need them it's a little walk. They were clean. When I called the previous time down Peoria way I wanted to check out the campground. I called and asked Don if I could drive around and look, he stated that I could. We liked the atmosphere of Millpoint. It was more crowded for Labor Day weekend but not packed and everyone seemed respectful. This was a drastic change from the last time I was down in Peoria. Labor day weekend the whole family stayed at Timberline Campground in Goodfield and it was the worst Campground I've ever stayed at in 51 years. Avoid Timberline in Goodfield and save yourself and call Don at Millpoint. I'm keeping Millpoint Campground as my go to spot when we come to Peoria. Thanks Don."
"Nice camp ground, the owner Don is a very nice guy and treats his guests very good. Right on the illinois river and close to shopping and restaurants. The camp ground lacks amenities but is nice, quiet and reasonably priced, I look forward to staying here again ."
"Stopped for one night on our way to an RV rally. Super happy with our short stay and experience. Beautiful surroundings with lush green grass and shade trees. We were glad to get a site along the river so we could watch the sunset. We'll be back for a longer stay."
