Reviews
"I do believe Dr. Nangia is a nice person and well meaning but her clinical patient relationship is subpar. A tipping point came when her delivery of information was just callous, cold, indifferent. The one thing you hold onto when you are going through cancer treatments is hope, you hang onto any good news. She will deliver all good and bad information as if she is reading a prompt. Compete flat affect. Her clinical notes and relaying of information are choppy, and not informative, so you can’t understand what the protocols are or what steps are next in your treatment plan. About 10 minutes of your appointment time will be her reading “my chart” notes and playing catch up on your case, not preparing or reading through prior to your appointment. I qualified for a research study at another hospital, fit very specific parameters. She didn’t tell me anything about it, granted the study wasn’t offered at her facilities but maybe she should’ve mentioned it, given me an option. I found out about the research study from another oncologist friend based in another city. After finding out I qualified for the study, I enrolled and switched oncologist. I am grateful for my initial care here overall but too many things just began to wear on me. I am in better, kind, more prepared hands now. Follow up: After switching hospitals and oncologist it is night and day. You have your own infusion room, at Baylor you are crammed into one infusion with curtains separating you. They also don’t offer icing booties or footies which are the standard at most hospitals to prevent neuropathy. The nursing staff schedules your appointments for you six months out not you attempting to scramble and call. It was a disaster ant Baylor. Also, to this day I have never had a doctor come to the room as unprepared as Dr. Nangia."
"Very insensitive to patient needs and enjoys giving families the run around. She has no issue discharge patients that are in pain and not able to perform daily functions. It’s quite disheartening."
