"Dear DR Horton, I am writing to express my great disappointment and frustration with the lack of communication and untruthfulness that was displayed during a recent home buying experience involving my son and his wife with your company. The loan processor Preston failed to communicate important details to my son involving the mortgage and your loan processor Preston would not return the text or calls from his wife which is on the mortgage when my son was working. It is very apparent that Preston did not want to communicate with a female base on calls and text messages that were saved. The lack of communication resulted in them and us paying out a large amount of money unnecessarily on hotels, food, dog boarding, and rental cars. As a buyers, they trusted your company to provide accurate and timely information regarding their home buying process. However, they were shocked to discover that the closing date had been changed without their knowledge, and was not told this till we had already traveled 700 miles in route to Texas from South Carolina causing them and us to incur unnecessary expenses and added stress to the situation . Furthermore, I am disappointed by the untruthfulness displayed by your company during this process. My husband and myself work in real estate as investors on the side and have never experienced such an unprofessional business. I believe that buyers should be given honest and transparent information at all times so that they can make informed decisions about their investments and make changes that need to be made in the buyers best interest. I urge your company to take immediate steps to rectify this situation and ensure that all future buyers are given accurate and timely information about their home buying process. I also request that you take appropriate measures to ensure that your loan processors are adequately trained and equipped to communicate effectively with buyers. I hope that your company will take this feedback into consideration and work to improve its communication and transparency with buyers to avoid this from happening again. The buyer needs to do further research to see if the paid closing cost and incentives that your company offers is worth what they may have to spend dealing with un professionalism and the lack of experienced staff that you have employed. I will be sending a letter to the corporate office as well just so they are aware of what buyers dealing with from the representatives of their company. Sincerely,"
"Awful experience these people literally want you in and out of here. Won’t be buying with them anymore they were a nightmare since the begging. So much miscommunication from the loan officers to the table of closing. The ladies that handle closing here my goodness seems like they have a stick up their. Super rude when asking questions like as a first time home buyer I would like to be able to ask everything I can."
