"Wellington took my premium and then cancelled my policy due to an error on their end after being a customer for 10 years. They refused to refund my premium. I complained to Texas Department of Insurance and Wellington lied that they had refunded me. I’m now with Allstate and the experience is much better."

"If I could rate them with a negative rating I would. I pay for insurance every month and rarely file a claim. Our neighbor was hit by hail and a roofer inspected my room along with the claim adjuster and it was found to have significant damage. They refused to cover the claim and said none of my neighbors filed a claim so the hail must not have been to bad. According to them the hail size was different from what damage was on my roof. Highly disappointed as I have spent hours and hours on this and for nothing , they will not take responsibility"

"Worst claims department on the planet. Impossible to get in contact with and when you do they just lie to buy themselves more time. Look for every loophole they can to get out of paying your claim. Was "awarded" $56 dollars on a supplemental claim when it was revealed the water damage in our kitchen extended all the way to the upper cabinets. You cant event take the old cabinets out for 56 dollars much less buy new ones. If this is your only option for insurance, just go without."

"When I tell you I'd rather cut my own arm off with a butter knife than EVER go through this company again. It has been the absolute WORST experience of my entire life. Countless hours spent on the phone and through emails to try to replace a 40+ year old roof with hail damage. I'm not exaggerating when I say we fought this for TWO WHOLE YEARS to get paid out through them. It had to go through adjusters, appraisals, and then the umpire to finally get the money to cover the cost of a new roof. These people are scammers with literally NO customer service, they will argue with you over the phone, IF you are even able to get ahold of someone because noone ever returns calls or emails. Have to stay on top of them to get anything done, and even that will sometimes take weeks or a month + for a response. I am disgusted, we have reported them to TDI. I wouldn't wish this company on my worst enemy. They should be shut down and involved in a class action lawsuit at this point over the quality of service they give their customers. Whatever you do, just DON'T DO IT. RUN."

"This has to be the worst insurance company ever. I started my claim in March and they just finish paying my claim end of October. The claim started well but after the adjuster left it was really bad. You could not get a hold of anyone, emails were never responded to. You had to basically to email them or call them daily and hope to get some kind of answer from someone. Everytime I called it was on someone's desk waiting for approval. How many approvals does it need to get check sent out. 7 months later after claim was paid, guess what the dropped me but I was dropping then anyways after this fiasco. STAY AWAY FROM WELLINGTON!!!"
