"If you have GVHD; run away from this specialist. This is a doctor that doesn't like being questioned in any way. What she says must go with no questions asked. She provides the bare minimum support. She disregards the patient's symptoms & really gives it her all when it comes to medical gaslighting. Her disregard for further evaluation of the severe symptoms my husband experienced under her care due to the medication she placed him on - would have killed him! She told him it's not her problem to treat & forced him to have to go to an ER; where even the ER staff there was appalled that he was there instead of his BMT "team" prioritizing & taking care of the problems. We promptly removed her from being in charge of his care. We made the decision to take him off the meds we assumed was causing his pancreatitis, CKD, 20+lb weightloss within 3months, severe mouth sores, worsening cGVHD, concerning labwork... A month after that, we had his labwork redone and his pancreas is now back to normal, mouth sores gone, his basic labwork is the best it has been in months! He has regained the weight he has lost. His rapid decline in kidneys has slowed down tremendously! Overall, he is now doing so much better! If he would've stayed under her "care", she would have watched him die. She refused to listen to someone who has lived with cGVHD for over 20 years, knows his body better than anyone and was telling her something was seriously wrong! Brushed him off for months until we made the collective decision to take matters into our own hands. It is appalling she call herself a GVHD specialist and disappointing considering the fact that there are limited options of GVHD specialists. However, this won't stop us from spreading the truth to others who have GVHD and are looking for a reputable specialist. Avoid this one at all costs."
"Absolutely outstanding care!"
