"I will always love this Dr. He saved my son Ashtons life at children's Dallas! My son was diagnosed with metastatic Ewing Sarcoma at 11 months old. He had 14 rounds of chemo 10 days whole lung radiation and they took his leg at age 2! He is 17 years old now! Dr. McCavit was with us in beginning and all way thru! Never acted like he was better than us. My mother god rest her soul passed away in 2019 and was with me on how much McCavit was so sincere in his love and caring for Children! "Very very unsatisfied with this doctor. My child was recommended to him 5 months ago. 1st off it was a 5 month wait to get into see him which is insane for a sick child to wait that long but ok then we have to drive 2 and half hours to get there only to be told we have to reschedule so of course being a parent im very upset nurse then tells me they can do a video appt in a couple of weeks which I don't see how my child can be helped over video which nurse agreed with so now I'm even more upset then she tells me next appointment would be in 2 months from now which is crazy how and why does this doctor think it's ok for any child to suffer for 7 months to see him is beyond me.i will be finding new doctor so parents beware don't take your kids to this man for any reason wish I could've gave no stars cause that's what this practice deserves"
"He is an amazing doctor! My son was referred after having severe bleeding (3 times) after a tonsillectomy and was suspected to have a blood disorder. Dr. Mccavit has explained every test our son has needed and makes us feel safe knowing he is doing what he can to find out what is wrong. He keeps us informed of everything and takes time to speak to our son as well as my husband and I whenever we take our son to see him. He answers any questions we have and takes our concerns serious. Excellent Doctor! I can't say that enough."
