I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June of 2020. For six months I have agonized over the diagnosis and the potential implications and also the grueling side effects that left me defeated both mentally and physically. My surgery was another milestone I had to accomplish and to say I was nervous would be an understatement. I could, very well, understand if my experience with Dr. Sallee and his staff had been impersonal and typical protocol. I see why some healthcare professionals grow desensitized after years of working on one patient after the other. But that wasn’t the case at all.
