"*This doctor is not taking new patients, but BCBS says she is* I applied to be a new patient of Dr. Raedeke some months back. Her office had me fill out a new patient form--then rejected me, saying the doctor was not taking new patients. I applied again last week when on the BCBS of TX website Dr. Raedeke was listed as taking new patients. BCBS sent me a new card with the doctor's name as my new PCP. I went to get a referral from the doctor--they said I needed to "apply" to be a new patient, which I did again, then they rejected me again. It is WRONG to list yourself as taking new patients, when you are not. They should contact BCBS to change the new patient listing and not waste patients time filling our application forms when they know the doctor is not taking new patients."
