"I would never use Athena Eye Institute again. They're super expensive and the staff seemed confused!!! I had a worrisome experience. I was never asked if I had contacts in and when it came to the "puff of air" test I actually had to ask the staff if I needed to take out my contacts. She was about to use the machine on me without asking at all. I don't know if that can cause damage to my eye, but in my opinion it is scary that I had to be the one to ask since the test was about to start. In addition, there was no sink in the room and I wasn't offered any way to wash my hands. I had to take my contacts out and put them back in with dirty hands. It was very UNPROFESSIONAL! Also, if you pay online they charge you a 3.5% fee to the payment so you pay more. I've never seen a doctor's office do this, just the utility company. I will be using a provider with better staff for future appointments."

"I was charged my in network co pay of $25.00 When I initially arrived. Then after exam I was told as I was checking out I owed 136.63 in case my insurance didn’t pay everything!! I was flabbergasted at this comment. I explain know you charge my insurance, and if there’s anything that i owe then my insurance will charge me. She said yeah we used to do that, but that didn’t work for us so now we’re charging the patient. The truth is, it’s against the law to balance bill patients anymore once you accept a co-pay. I called several times to try to get information exactly what I was being charged for and to speak with the doctor, but I’ve not received a call back. This is an absolute shame . So patient beware!! I intend on filing a grievance with Medicare and ask if this is actually Legal. Follow up In all fairness and after much concern and calling …Doctor called me and explained it was a mistake on their part and promised to refund my $136.63 . While appreciated I decided to cancel any further appointments."

"I am not a patient of Dr Reddy, but my friend who has suffered from an autoimmune disorder for several years was very disappointed with Dr. Reddy's poor bedside manners. My friend has an ulcer in her eye. The doctor prescribed more eye drops and did not give her the update on the ulcer. Infact, she told her never go back again."

"If you go to this location be aware you will get a crazy bill just for a check up. Even with great insurance my bill was insane. I asked at the beginning and the end of the visit about the co-pay and the receptionist said there was not one. If money is not an issue for you go ahead if it is I would go elsewhere to an office where you will be informed about how much it will cost to be seen . It's very unsettling how they try and take advantage of people and I will be letting one I know to avoid this practice."
