"Definitely a disappointment... I had a loan with Mariner for some time and was very happy with them up until I decided to payoff and close the loan. I was mailed a check for the overpayment that I was due back, and I was unable to cash it due to them issuing a check they had already stamped and endorsed on the back. I called and asked if they could send me a new check that my bank would allow me to deposit and they said I had to come back into the branch to return that check and get a new one. There was no apology given to me for their mistake and made to feel as though I was kind of putting them out? I'm pretty disappointed with the way this was handled."
