Ms. Pearl the Giant Squirrel Statue

"HORRIBLE experience at this place. When I first walked in they had jalapeño peanut brittle on sale. As I was looking at them, a bag in the bin was expired as of 9/01/23 so I grabbed it to give to the workers and I looked for a bag that wasn’t expired. All of the rest of the bags in the sale bin were marked for 2024. As I was walking around the store and looking at the peanut brittle section I saw more jalapeño brittle and checked the date. Also expired for 9/01/23 and was not located in the sale bin. I grabbed them and brought them to the front for the workers, thinking that expired food shouldn’t be out and I would be mad if I bought something that was expired! They were very rude and said that it’s not expired just getting old and the date didn’t matter. That’s why they were on sale. YET they weren’t in the sale pile?? Anyways I’m looking around the store and find MORE peanut brittle that says expired JANUARY 2023!!!! Absolutely rock hard. I would be PISSED if I bought that. To top it off my mother literally heard the girl pictured and her other Hispanic coworkers talking about me and laughing. I was just trying to be a good person and report that something was expired and they made fun of me and are lying to customers. Will never be returning here and I hope those girls are disciplined."

"Love coming here when we are around this area. It’s nice and the store they have samples of different pecans it’s almost your average gift shop but the things are insanely priced. I personally like to come here to mark and anniversary and I like coming to just see something really nice. The staff is always nice and understanding of all their customers."

"Ms. Pearl is not camera shy at all. In fact she is super photogenic and eagerly awaits travelers. She is the mascot and greeter, that's a full time gig. 24 hours a day she ready for a picture at night she is full lit and at her post."

"I have driven by this place many times but never stopped. Today I decided to stop for some peaches and I’m glad we did. The staff was very friendly and accommodating (which was appreciated, as I had my toddler with me). The peaches are amazing and they have fabulous roasted pecans too. They also other honey sticks, candy and other cute gifts and souvenirs. Oh! And they have a very clean restroom. Of course I had to let my child visit with the big squirrel and take some souvenir photos to commemorate the even. I will definitely be stopping by here again when I’m in the area."

"Cute little shop. If you like squirrels and homemade fudge one stop shop. Ms. Pearl was adorable. We bought some pecan cheesecake fudge and a cute flask. Cute t-shirts and knick knacks galore."
