"I went to this man to get an Official reassment of the adhd I had been diagnosed with after my brain surgery back in 2001, and begin treatments for that and the TBI my neuro had said i had some months prior to seeing Dr Temple. I was looking for some supplemental support in Healing from brain surgery, and severe childhood and adult trauma. Not only was his office bare and under construction making it super uncomfortable, the fumes from some kind of glue that was used was unbearably strong and intoxicating. To further complicate things, and skew his results, he dismissed EVERYTHING i had told him about my history, EXCEPT the fact that I had smoked some pot to help me with pain and sleep MONTHS (plural) prior to seeing him (I have endometriosis, RLS and EDS). He was just mad that I couldn’t find his office, and I was a few mins late bc of that. His frustration and annoyance was written all over his face and then later in his quack report that spoke nothing to the facts. Needless to say, my therapist wrote him a scathing report/letter letting him know basically how awful he is at his job. This dude makes a joke out of neurobiology and neuropsychology. Update: received my official assessment from an actual and reputable Neuropsychologist last month, and sure enough, I have pretty severe ADHD that had been untreated for so long it was presenting like I was on the spectrum. In all actuality ADHD and Autism are first cousins, or even siblings. But sure let’s use outdated diagnoses to take out our frustrations on others. Stay away from this guy, he’s toxic and only cares about pumping out quick and dirty results for the government."
"Dr. Temple I want to thank you for what you diagnosis has done for me. Less then a year ago I finally found out that I have a problem that needs to be managed. I had idea that there was something but people I told didn’t think so or cared. Once I started seeing a therapist she recommended I’d go get changed by a Neuropsychologist. I found Dr. Temple and went in and took the test and within a few weeks I got my diagnosis. Ever since then I’ve been going to psychotherapy and been on a medication that’s been helping me. Dr. Temple was very welcoming and personal, very easy to talk to. Straight forward and I noticed confident and passionate about this profession. Thanks again Dr. Temple"
"Dr. Temple Has provided exceptional therapy. He has a wealth of knowledge and is genuinely interested in helping me through my difficult time. I’ve been in therapy before and probably will be again but I have never before and probably won’t again find a more capable therapist."
"I took my 14 year old son to help clarify some of issues. My son had 2 psychological testing done in 3 years and multiples test done through the school and none were as thorough as Dr. Temple's. He was able to clarify the discrepancies between the other test and diagnosed 2 new learning disabilities as a result. Due to this testing my son was able to receive more services at school. I was so pleased with the outcome I took my younger son who struggles with delays, although he is only 5 we did come away with a thoughtful report that specified many areas of weaknesses and strengths. This report also helped him get more services through the school."
"I initially felt sorry for Dr. Temple being brought into my family law case as the "family therapist" as it was a doozie and his involvement would be carefully examined. After all, my ex-husband's attorney had already led another psychologist down a treacherous path that rendered him with a suspended license, a monetary fine, and other professional penalties. As time went on, though, I no longer felt sorry for Dr. Temple; I, perceived him to be careless, negligent, at times reckless, and incompetent. He clearly does not fully comprehend trauma, how it affects the higher cognitive functions, and all the aspects of family violence or intimate partner violence (power & control dynamics). Instead, he jokingly referred to the symptomatology [of trauma] as the DSM's "trashcan diagnosis" - the "catch all" diagnosis for when a mental health practitioner can't quite put his finger on it. Hmmm. Perhaps that's because he's incompetent? It's of no surprise that I later learned he was involved in another family law case and did not appropriately diagnose or intervene in that one, as well. So, apparently, his focus is more on developing his practice by being a frequently used therapist by colluding GALs and attorneys than being a good therapist and doing what's ethically appropriate. Needless to say, I do not recommend Dr. Temple what-so-ever in any capacity. His actions in my case further entrapped me in the family law systems (which resulted in more legal, financial, and psychological abuse) and compromised my son's wellbeing, to say the least. If he's been involved in your family law litigation, too, I'd like to hear about your experiences. You may email me at ATX change agent at gmail dot com."
