"I found this place after my insurance tried to send me all the way to the West side of Houston. Immediately I was welcomed and felt like everyone listened. I had severe pain and numbness in my left arm/shoulder/neck. I had been experiencing this pain for about 4 months before my insurance finally approved PT. Emily was fantastic! She paid attention to all of my issues and answered all of my questions. I had some limitations due to other medical stuff and she took the time to research my specific condition to ensure that the exercises wouldn’t stress or strain my neck and cause additional pain. She worked with me on the care plan. I am not one to really keep up with going to the doctor to be honest but i never missed a PT appt. I could immediately start to notice the difference it was having with my issues. I’m glad to be healthy again but I will miss Emily and her positive attitude and outlook on my PT journey! It took almost 2.5 months for my body to really start responding but Emily was able to figure out exactly where to pinpoint some of the issues—once that happened—everything started to improve quickly! I now have full function of my arm:neck/shoulder with NO PAIN! I can do all of my normal sports activities and even my daily normal things. What a relief! Mark and Lauren also assisted with my care plan and were so wonderful too! They listened and did research along with Emily to ensure I was getting the best physical therapy possible. You really can’t go wrong with anyone in this office providing care! The receptionists at the front desk are always kind and welcoming. They answer all questions and always have smiles on their faces. Walking into an unknown place and having never done PT before i was nervous. They explained everything, kept me up to date on how many sessions I had left that were approved by insurance and discussed copays and authorizations with a clear understanding. Sometimes—most of the time honestly, that’s the hardest part to understand! If you’re looking for a flexible, reliable dedicated group of physical therapists to help with your issues Kingwood Occupational and Physical Therapy is the place to go!
