"As a former counselor, I came in a little skeptical thinking I was going to get the standard fare CBT I became disenchanted with. I was 100% wrong. It has been absolutely refreshing to meet a free-thinking counselor with depth! As much as I don’t want to write this review out of fear her calendar will get even more full - Cristina deserves it - and other wounded people out there can truly benefit from her gentle spirit and therapeutic skill. "My experience was with Sara. She enabled my abuser. He used everything she said to further abuse me. I was not aware of the fact that I was being emotionally tormented and that I was in emotional trauma. I’m 33 weeks pregnant with his child, he left for a new gf, he left me with a broken lease, all the bills and responsibilities and wants nothing to do with the baby. He is out partying and drinking every night, living with his parents and I’m left to pick up all the broken pieces with a new child on the way. She did not pay attention to the very clear signs and made things much worse. Abusers seem great to people who don’t know them and therapist here need to really educate themselves on manipulative, emotional abusers and learn the signs to look for. He suggested the therapy, I was hesitant because I know he’s good at manipulating people and playing the victim. The price I’ve had to pay for her ignorance is devastating."

"Today marks ONE YEAR of taking the biggest step of my life… Walking into Cris’s office! The last year has drastically changed my life and I will forever be grateful. I finally feel that I can remove my armor that I have guarded myself with for so long, I let my walls down, and I truly can be myself without apology.
