"Petsmart for 1339 W 43rd Houston, TX GROOMING DEPARTMENT After having the best experience last month with Omar, my experience today with Jewel was terrible. I intentionally scheduled my appointment with Omar today and found out when I arrived that they changed it to Jewel without letting me know. My appointment was at 8 am and Jewell arrived at 8:15 talking about how her leg hurt when she walked in the door and how she lived all the way in Richmond. Then I was able to complete getting checked in by 8:30. This should not have taken 30 minutes from my work day. All of this said, this is not the reason I won’t be going back to have my dog groomed. I called to check on my dog and was told instead of the 2-4 window, it might be 5 hours until my dog was ready. Given my 8 am appointment and that I was the first person in the store, it makes no sense on why more time than normal was needed. When I called back to say it’s 11 am and if you haven’t started working on my dog, I’ll just come get her, I was flippantly told ok, but you have to pay for a bath. I said, if you have bathed her, you might as well finish. Terrible attitude on the phone from the associate. When I came to get my dog, instead of charging me 51 dollars per my last two visits, my dog suddenly within one month of the last visit is considered to have long hair and it will cost 66. None of this was discussed when I dropped her off and in fact, on the phone was told she had such short hair it wouldn’t take long to finish since her bath was done. When I said that I never had to pay 66 before, I was told well, they must have just not told you. I said well, you should have told me when I dropped her off as I selected the package on line when I made the appointment. Then I was told after some back and forth, oh, we can take it off this one time. Then I said, not to worry bc I would not be coming back after the service today. After having such a great experience last month, I had convinced 3 other dog owners to bring their dogs to this Petsmart. Luckily, I’ve let them know to cancel after the experience I had today with jewel. She has a major attitude and could careless about me or my dog and the dogs hair looked choppy as if she had rushed to cut it before we were on the 5th hour of her not being ready on a very slow day at the store. Skip this store. I’ve had wonderful experiences at other locations."

"Exceptional customer service and they truly cared about my dog Milo! Took great care of my dog Milo! Will definitely continue to bring Milo in for all his grooming needs! Keep up the great job!"

"I purchased a product at another Petsmart and tried to return it here with my original receipt. I was told they would not accept the return because the store did not carry the item. I have never heard of an issue like this in a nationwide store."

"DO NOT use home deliveries. I ordered Friskies wet cat food on Christmas Eve at 9: AM, After the store opened at 9, I received an email saying Friskies Salmon shreds was no longer available and they would send me a substitute in exchange for the salmon, the time is now 5:00 pm Never received my order and no email either, I’ll start using Kroger instead! At least they do home deliveries! Merry Christmas everyone!"

"This is strictly for the pet grooming department. My initial service was my Maltipoo was kept for 5 hours for me to return and nothing had been done and no call was made to me. My next session was Jewel telling myself as well as another customer her opinion of our dog breed. I was charged $100 + dollars which this was supposed to be a correction from my initial visit. On my third visit after attempting to give them another chance. I always give specific instructions to Jewel not to cut Dominic’s tail. I would have accepted the fact that Jewel accidentally messed him up and own up to her mistake but only excuses of Dom being matted. Dom is brushed 4-5 days weekly as well and is an inside pet. Well this time this is what my baby always looks like versus what she did to him. I was extremely upset. The manger never tries to resolve issues so I asked for a full refund. At this time this is the most horrible place for pet grooming and resolution. The professionalism is below standard."
