The Stress & Trauma Treatment Family Center, located at 301 South Wall Street in Carbondale, Illinois, is a health institution dedicated to helping vulnerable individuals and families heal from childhood adversities, traumatic stress, and suffering. Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art trauma-informed and trauma-focused evidence-based practices to support healing and growth.

We specialize in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Child Parent Psychotherapy, and other effective therapies for individuals from birth to 30 years old and their families. Our therapists are experts in Early Childhood Mental Health, providing support to young children and their families through innovative programs and services.

Children, adolescents, and young adults may exhibit various reactions to trauma, including behavior problems and silent suffering. We work with individuals and families to provide counseling and therapy to address depression, fear, anxiety, and other emotions following traumatic events.

Our center offers support for individuals experiencing symptoms related to trauma, such as anxiety, fear, and hopelessness, guiding them through the process of healing and recovery. Relationship counseling is also available to help families and couples strengthen emotional connections and heal from past traumas.

We operate on a sliding scale fee schedule based on family size and income, ensuring that no one is denied access to services due to financial constraints.
