"They have incredible speech, feeding, and occupational therapists!"
"Amazing therapist"
"We hired a very expensive, non-insurance covered, psychologist to perform a number of tests that we hoped would help us find the best fitting school for our child. Unfortunately, the report and verbal conversation following the testing did not provide any clarity in this matter. The written report did not reflect the verbal conversation we had prior to receiving the report. The written report was contradictory and inaccurate. For example, a paragraph would provide an overview of the testing results and then the last sentence would contradict the results presented above. We also found the language in the report indirect and convoluted. When we asked for the inaccurate personal information (not related to the testing/scope of services requests) to be removed, additional inaccurate verbiage was included making the report even more cumbersome. When we asked for clarity, the responses were still confusing. The responses seemed more appropriate for people in acadamia in the field of psychology than parents or teachers. This is different from our previous experiences with others in this field. Oddly, we felt personally attacked while reading a report on our child. The psychologists personal (not professional) opinions came though subtly throughout the report. We also felt that some of the testing outcomes did not reflect our child. These differences may be a result of the tests, testing environment during COVID, and/or the evaluator. When we asked about the wide discrepancies between these results and previously administered tests (conducted at earlier age), we received another confusing answer in writing that did not match the verbal conversation. The recommendation section at the end of the report provided no benefit. We felt that the psychologist stepped outside of her area of specialization (visible throughout the report) which has rendered the report useless as we would not share it with anyone. This was a very expensive mistake for us. The Stewart Center was upfront about all costs. They were punctual."
