"I've been to therapy off and on throughout my life. As I have yet to find all the answers, therapy remains necessary. Out of the probably fifteen or so Therapists I've gone to throughout my life, I've had one or two good (not great) ones. But, something was missing - God. So, I decided to seek out Christian Therapists. I spent years, off and on, trying to find a good Christian Therapist with little luck. Ultimately, every time, I ended up going to a secular Therapist. So finally, I decided to pray and get the Lord's help finding a therapist. Right away, I found Dan at Homestead Hope. Dan is a great listener as well as a great story teller. His credentials are impressive and you can see all of that education and experience very clearly in each and every session. He does a terrific job finding the "sweet spot" between all the elements of therapy. It's important to give each client just the right amount of education, listening, calming, guidance, encouragement, etc. And Dan, in my experience, is a master at this. And don't get me wrong - he doesn't balance these things in such a way to keep you comfortable so much as to ensure you are learning and growing at a pace at which you are capable. It's never too much and never too little. I feel like I've grown in significant ways during and after most sessions. And let me tell you - that says a lot about Dan. God is ever-present in each and every session. God's love is strong in that room and He uses Dan to help lift you up. God is the key. So for me, this is crucial to successful therapy. I highly recommend Dan to anyone ready to get down to business in their therapy. And if you're not quite ready, but want to be - don't worry. I'm sure he can help guide you to that that place.
