"I've been working in this shop now for about 15 years there's people on here that I never even seen before that's putting down fake reviews about this nail shop. Even though our sign says walk-ins are welcome you as an adult should know that is always best to book an appointment and I understand the spur the moment pedicure manicures but you are willing to take a risk to step into a nail shop knowing you have to wait and you still get mad when we tell you it would be a 30 to 45 minute wait because we don't believe in lying to our customers saying is only going to be A 5 minute wait and when actually it's about 30 to 45 minutes I no longer work at this nail shop because I am actually in the Air Force protecting your freedom so you can write some BS review about this shop and yeah there are times that we are undermanned cuz workers choose to move on with their life and pursue a better career ..those who have been going to us for over 20 years know how good of a job we do if we didn't do a good job we wouldn't be in that strip mall for 20-plus. We don't BS our customers and we tell him straight up the truth. As humans sometimes we have our days especially nail tech that we don't like to talk or we feel that you want to relax while you're getting a pedicure and manicure you don't want anybody bothering you but if you do talk to us we will talk back is that simple. It's funny how when the employee write a review about other people writing bad reviews about us and not knowing who they are saying that we disrespected or is unprofessional to defend our nail shop from these bad reviews....we can't put in our two cents in. AS FOR NARA this is not harassment this is just stating the facts you came into our shops a lot of times I remember the times when you are very picky and one of my friends was doing your pedicure he polish all ten toes even asked you before he polish your toes ,did you like the color you told him yes, after he finishing polish all your toes you said you don't like the color anymore who does that.. I've done your nails a couple times too I was always nice to you there's times when you did push the lines a little bit but I'm a very laid-back person and you know who I am I'm not shy about putting my name out there...it's not that we're rude to customers it's just that we know how much we're worth and sometimes money is not that important to us in a sense that we put up the people's nonsense ..I am very happy to serve the people that's been coming to our nail shop for the past 15 years I've been working I just had to put my review in because that's the right thing to do at least try to defend this business and and this is no way harassment to any of the bad reviews left on here I just want to put things right"
"I live in the city, and have visited many nail places all around Chicago. I work down the street from Lee Nails and i needed a cut down and color change for an evening out with friends, so during my lunch break i came down to Lee Nails and was given the best service i think I've ever received anywhere in the last 15 years Ive been getting my nails done. The wait was not long at all, I think i spent more time choosing a color than i did waiting to get serviced. They had a vast variety of colors and brands, both no chip and regular polish. Darks, Reds, Pinks, Neutrals, Greys, even Neon colors. (I personally use regular polish as opposed to no chip because i change them often), when I read the review that they only had a few colors, i had to question if it was the same place i went to. lol First thing i noticed was that the technicians spoke ONLY ENGLISH, to customers and among each other and spoke fluently so it wasn't hard to understand a question or request or feel as though they were talking about you or a customer which was a PLUS. At least for me, a lot of nail salons in the city have very little English speaking capabilities, and often spoke in foreign language when speaking to each other. The nail tech (which i cant remember her name, first chair in the center row) was very polite, and tentative to how I wanted my nails. I had them very long and coffin shaped and I wanted them short and squared and she did a very good job at doing them exactly how i wanted I was quite surprised and pleased with the outcome, she cut and shaped them to my liking and not how she felt like doing them which is another thing I've experienced many times before in other locations. She even offered to apply a later of gel coat on my nail tips which most salons charge more for that. I also got a color change on my toes as well which was also satisfactory. While I was sitting in the chair, I can hear the other techs speaking to the customers and in a very friendly and polity manner. I didnt see or hear any nasty remarks or feel any negative vibes at least during my visit. An elderly woman was getting a pedicure and the tech who was servicing her was helping her and assisting her getting in and out of the chair. When it came to paying for services, I was surprised at how affordable it was. I had went to nail salon located in the same plaza as my work office building and paid $30 for a color change on my hands and feet ( not including tip), Lee nails only charged me $18. Which is $2 more than what i pay in the city but i was happy with the outcome and the service i received i gave a nice tip :) I even considered giving up my regular nail spot I've been going for the last 6 years to coming here as to how pleased i was! So when i read these reviews I was a little thrown off, I didn't experience any negative attitudes, or badly done nails. If you think THEY were "rude" my advice stay away from any salons in the city because alot of them dont abide by "the customer is always right" rule and alot of techs will do your nails how they want to and you will leave very dissapointed lol. My nails are still looking good after 2 weeks and I have regular polish on my nails. But Ill be coming by soon :) Thank You Lee Nails"
"So I wish I would have read these reviews before I spent any money at this place. The salon is dirty and has a funky smell that I've never experienced before. The technicians are more interested in speaking with eachother rather than asking their clients how they like their nails shaped or if they even want them cut, spoiler alert, I did not. These little things don't matter to this staff. I was speaking to the girl that was sitting next to me and said she didn't know why she even came back there because the last time she was there one of the male technicians yelled at a woman and told her to get out and no one wanted to do her nails anymore. Wow, that seems a bit dramatic for a nail salon. All in all this place is the worst. Smelly, rude, unknowledgable employees. I'd rather go to the petsmart down Lagrange for better nail service because I promise you none of these employees would ever get hired there. Piece of advise to customers and myself, if everyone looks miserable and unsatisfied like the few customers that were in Lee nails of orland park, did when I walked in, RUN, RUN FAR AWAY."
"This place should be shut down indefinitely! The technicians lack professionalism as well as experience. Instead of spending money on actually learning how to do simple task, such as manicures, they focused their attention on creating an ambiance. Which does absolutely nothing since ALL of their attitudes suck! They're rude and disrespectful as if they have a reputation that warrants any respect. I'm convinced they buy the cheapest materials possible. For anyone who has been here and received the same treatment I did...contact the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. For anyone looking to spend money here...DON'T! Look up the reviews here and Yelp. They suck! Furthermore, after reading the comment the "owner" left to one of its customers, it's no wonder why ALL of the employees are rude. I guess it's their policy to disrespect their paying customers! Disgusting!"
"On Saturday, I got a $35 no chip manicure from Lee Nail. On Monday night, all the polish came completely off. When I called to discuss this with the manager, she said they have a three day policy, even for no chip, and that the only way she could fix it was if I came to the shop the same day. Unfortunately, I live about 45 minutes away, and this was not feasible, although she kept insisting this was my only option. She also hung up the phone after I asked to speak with someone else. Completely and utterly unprofessional and unacceptable."
