Hampton Inn Marion

"Upon entering the room, an overwhelming and unpleasant scent of stale dirty socks greeted me. This odor persisted throughout my stay, making it quite challenging to relax and feel comfortable. Additionally, the bed provided was exceptionally hard and emitted loud squeaks with even the slightest movement. The pillows were in dire need of replacement and provided no support or comfort whatsoever. Furthermore, the overall state of the furniture in the room left much to be desired, as it appeared to be in a deteriorating condition."

"Stopped here for a night on a road trip. Rooms were clean, they have a bar and pool. We would stay here again. One of the nicer Hampton Inns we've stayed at."

"Sorry, but the guy checking us in wasn't attentive at all, and while waiting in line he almost didn't charge a customer for her room. She had to say, don't I need to pay for this? When another customer asked about digital keys, he was very short and dismissive. The room was ok, bed was great for sure, shower looked dingey. I understand that it's a hotel, but 179 I think for one night, I expected better quality. We normally stay here every time we travel down to southern IL. We will probably still stay here, but housekeeping needs to be a bit more attentive to the rooms and the cleaning. Food was awesome too."

"Very nice and cozy room compared to the surrounding hotels. Everything looks clean and organized. Price/benefit is a bit low. The rate here is kinda high. Plenty of parking lot. Location is good for visiting campus."

"The hotel rooms smells SO strongly of mildew and mold. When we walked into our room it was immediate it was so strong and felt sticky/humid. We looked for other hotels in the area but everything was booked and there were no other rooms for us. I would absolutely recommend to go anywhere but here - my clothes smelt like the hotel room even after washing them at home… there has to be a huge problem at this hotel 0/10"
