"My aunt is at this facility for rehabilitation. At first , she was very reluctant to come to this facility due to past experiences with family members, however I can honestly say she is being treated very well. She appears to be enjoying her stay as much as she possibly can. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. My aunt eats very little normally however she enjoys the wide variety of food that is served here; her only complaint is that it’s too much food! That sounds like a good thing to me. The physical therapist is on point with constant care to make sure my aunt is safe at all times while in rehab. Any concerns we have had in regards to my aunt’s health and well being are instantly addressed by administration. All in all, this facility has gone above and beyond any of our expectations. I wish I could name the staff members that have gone above the call of duty to care for my aunt however, there are so many to mention and I wouldn’t want to leave any one out. Again, this place is so accommodating to their patients and the patient’s family. I encourage if you have a family member in this facility to please come spend time with them, have dinner with them, go to a bingo game with them and see for yourself the great changes that have happened at the Amistad Nursing and Rehabilitation Center."

She needed Rehabilitation & Therapy, her medical team recommended Amistad Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and we couldn’t be happier they chose this facility. The care she is receiving from the staff is wonderful and the overall atmosphere is very much appreciated. Everyone has been so good to my mom and they truly take the time to make sure that she is well taken care of. I highly recommend this facility to any one needing assistance for a loved one. "I recently visited a friend at Amistad and was quite impressed with what I saw in the facility and staff. I feel that the negative comments are written off of distressed emotion. Let’s be honest, nursing homes provide care to a large number of residents with different levels of need. If anyone has cared for a loved one, they know how demanding and tiring a task it is. In addition, some families present issues to the staff as well that adds to the stress they already encounter. A lot of people expect the level of care, that they assume they would give their family member if they were caring for them at home. Nursing homes are not designed for individualized care but rather collective care. I feel the level of care my friend receives is of good quality, keeping it in perspective with the intent. Administrator Rita Adams is a wonderful person, sincere and compassionate, she took the time to answer some questions I had. Amistad Nursing and Rehab does a wonderful job for what it is intended. If you have expectations of personal, individual care, no nursing home is going to provide that so please keep your expectations in perspective!"
